Ralus was really banking on that kick to do some damage. But when Arix blocked the devastating blow, it left the golden warrior wide open for a counterattack. Before his kicking leg could even reach the ground again, the red dragon's fist flew right into Ralus' abdomen. He was sent into a very brief state of shock, his body flying upwards from the force of the retaliatory uppercut. Ralus was quick to recover, he had definitely been through worst blows before. But his ego had taken an even bigger hit than his gut had.
The two went at it for a while, the resiliency of both fighters on full display for the audience in attendance. While some of Ralus' more acrobatic attacks surprised Arix at times, his foe's defensive profile kept him up and running for far longer than expected. Ralus just couldn't break through, and his usual 'all-out offense' style slowed to a sloppy crawl. Exhausted and humbled, it took just one last hook to the snout from Arix to put Ralus down. A good defense can make a great offense too, a painful lesson Ralus learned throughout their bout.
The gold dragon wasn't out for long, being awakened by Arix himself. Taking the fellow warrior's hand, Ralus was helped back onto his feet. The two shook hands, complimenting each other as they were escorted off the field. While he might not have won any gold, Ralus walked out of the arena enriched with lots of new experience.
Tragically, this experience did not come with a level-up jingle.
Once again, theses fantastically drawn pieces were done by
crassir and the fellow derg belongs to
ArixO
Man oh man, did these come together amazingly! Arix approached me, wanting to get an action piece done between our dragons. We both agreed on crassir for the artist, and boy did it pay off! Great expressions, posing, just all around a massive pleasure to work with. Both crassir and Arix alike! Please check out their galleries! crassir does a lot of fight pieces, while Arix has a medieval lean with plenty of combat too. You won't regret it!
