Unless he's an asshole and uses the invasion to basically get a free house (two even if we count Benrod and Apia's place too since they didn't have kids) and a somewhat stable source of income with zero effort on his own while his family evacuates in fear of their life

Cleon has had character growth in practically every page he appears in, it makes sense that he's become someone accountable by the end of the chapter. And the way he covered for Mirley when she spilled the juice showed that he's willing to inconvenience himself to help other people.

Parting is such sweet sorrow.
