True fact: Every person i know that went to college for psychology... tended to dislike it and at least wish they chose something else instead at some point. =D

It's not a very rewarding field, and it's high-stress. If you stick to psychology, you're bound for a life as a teacher and/or researcher. If you go into psychiatry, you're constantly dealing with other peoples' mental problems. Either way, it's a very difficult way to earn a living.

Yeah, I know all about that, I have to play psych for all my friends, for free, and often times, when /I/ need some one to listen, they really seem to ignore me, or whine about me being 'whiney' sooner or later. XD As a profession, it's worse cause of all the stress of keepign secrets and yeah, there is no real place to go with it, other than researcher or teaching. You also tend to look at people and psychoanalyze everything and everyone around you at some point or another, and also, tend to think you can 'profile' people with just a little exposure, which often can make you come off as a prick. xP
