I'm so happy with how this one turned out. Rakesha is a dragonborn sorcerer and the main antagonist of the client's Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Although sorcerers don't usually wear armor, since he's the BBEG, I thought I'd add bend the rules a bit, y'know, for those extra charisma points. My goal was to make something that would look like it came out of the Monster Manual.
The client's initial instructions were to to incorporate 15 different materials onto his scales: 5 chromatic colors (red, green, blue, black, white), 5 metallic colors (platinum, gold, silver, bronze, copper), and 5 gemstones (amethyst, emerald, sapphire, crystal, topaz). However, to avoid making him look too tacky, I offered to incorporate the different materials in different parts of his attire instead. The chromatic colors represented in the brooch, the metallic colors on the armor, and the gemstones as Ioun Stones. That way he could still maintain a cohesive color scheme while having all of those attributes. What do you guys think?

I'm glad you like it. Mages wearing a bit of armor does look nice, doesn't it? Since the character is a sorcerer, I thought it'd be appropriate for him to wear something a bit... royal. Especially since sorcerers tend to have high Charisma and all that. Looking the part does make your more convincing, no?
Amazing work! I really love the interwoven metals. That's a pretty cool idea!
And don't worry about bending the rules. Homebrew is a thing! Plus, I can't really argue against sorcerers in armor when my character is a mage (fits best with a wizard in 5e) with a flaming god sword.
Now that I mention it, I don't remember if I told you those details about the sword..
