Item Name:- Glob
Abilities:-Gender change, Slime Transformation
Description:- A spherical slime that does nothing until an organic life form is close by.
Once the Glob detects a sentient being, it will swallow them whole, putting the being in a deep sleep.
As the lifeform sleeps, the Glob turns the being's body into a slime core.
Once the transformation has finished, the lifeform wakes up, and the Glob's form shifts into that of a slime woman giving the organic life form with complete control of the body.
The new slime women only need to consume liquid to survive, and once they have drunk enough fluid, they will produce a new Glob (the number of Globs increases every time this occurs.).
If the slime woman is close to another organic life form as it is about to produce a Glob, then the slime woman will be compelled to spit the Glob at the organic being.
If no organic life forms are close by when it is about to produce a Glob, then the slime woman will be compelled to carry the Glob until it sees another organic being then the slime woman will throw the Glob at them.
History:-The Glob is one the peculiar slime species as it is a brainless creature.
Basic slimes, such as the Glob, all have a core in their centres which acts as the brain. Without the core, a slime should not be able to function and die, yet the Glob can survive without one.
Since the Glob has no core, it remains motionless on the ground, showing no signs of basic instincts such as eating or sleeping. It remains on the ground like a ‘glob’ of water.
The Glob only shows signs of activity if a sentient being is close by. Once the being gets close, the slime will swallow that being. That creature swallowed by the Glob is then turned into the Glob's slime core. Once the transformation is finished, the Glob will become a Slime woman, which the assimilated creature will have control of.
The victims of the Glob's assimilation can still live an everyday life; they just have to be prepared to produce a new Glob now and then. They will have to learn how to run as a slime as humans tend to avoid Glob slimes. After they create a new slime, they chase anyone close by, trying to get the human to assimilate with their new slime.
Museum Notes:- Please notify museum staff if there is an issue with the case holding the Glob, as it is an absolute pain trying to turn a slime core back into a human being.
