Ishumi is a captain of the White Fangs gang and a well known street fighter and vigilante and pretty well respected in the neighbourhood her gang operates in. Though she does not agree with the gang's business behind the scenes she supports their efforts in keeping other criminals out of their territory, which also gives her a way to relieve her urge for fighting and as such she does occasionally participate in the fighting matches especially when they are grudge matches between the gangs. She seems to often be challenged by the leader of the Black Fangs, Ingwe, and their fights always pull some big crowds when these two sheyenas go all out. Ingwe's reason for fighting is obvious as she is possessive of her boyfriend, Punda, while Ishumi fights because she hopes Punda can be redeemed to use his fighting skills for good. Though needless to say Ishumi also desires Punda as a boyfriend which makes these fights especially vicious and bloody, to the amusement of Punda who loves watching these two fight over him knowing all too well how these two are behind closed doors with him.
