Paleo the Silvally and Mirian the Houndoom. The canon versions of them are....not in a good place. At all. The idea of them being close anymore is a far-fetched reality...but I still love the potential they have, so I made an AU where they get to be happy together....at the expense of a lot of other people they've left behind. Oh well, at least they can sleep at night.
