Wow, look at this Warrior Cats problem.

Imagine wanting to kill your father-in-law and your potential adoptable kids just so you'll be loved. He should have killed or tried to Brambleclaw who was very old at the time and also responsible for murking Hawkfrost which Ashfur was close to. That would have made sense. Don't worry, I aimed at low hanging fruit this week, but I have intentions to point out Hawkfrost kills Hollyleaf and how neat it is they had something beyond the grave. Ashfur's narcissistic ass just couldn't let Squirrelflight snubbing him go.

Any comments saying "Ashfur being related to Fireheart/Sandstorm/or Squirrelflight was retconned will just be wrong. The Hunters/Erins have only ever retconned one relation much like they retconned one book. Those are: Graystripe's parents being siblings and Spottedleaf's Heart. The latter is debated but they have never said Ashfur is no longer related and if you wanna come at me with that information, bring an actual screenshot or link, it is nowhere on their history and never in the books.
