Growsplosive Shypix & Gene
Oh dear! Gene (
foxfencer) was spending some time with my Solerra the Vulpix and one thing led to another and she exploded with growth out of a house. And ended up crunching a bunch of other things between her hands, platforms and paws. >3>
This was a delightful picture to finally see in brilliant color! Solerra just looks so good~ No matter how much “Eeeps!” she’s making. |3
Done as a sketch on paper, scanned in, and painted in Photoshop CS5.

Don't often see aftermath of growing out of something like this, but I like it even more because of that. Her outfits extremely pleasant to look at and by the standards of your characters is quite conservative although that's with regard to the different baselines.
I like the rich suburban neighbourhood aesthetic because one doesn't often see it from this angle in a macro piece and this is still technically a macro piece. It's a good thing everything gets fixed up in your setting or even when someone else visits it, because that means no one has to do any maintenance costs in this case.
Those car Alarms will be annoying for a little while though but it's good that that's the worst thing that's happening. The poor cracked concrete though.
I like the subtle detail of a shed being utterly demolished by her hand, because it's showing her grip strength. And of course the sunset is always nice to see even when it's not the focus. The fact that you included it even when it's not the focus shows your attention to detail.

Aww, thanks! It was an unusual project to work on compared to my usual subject matter. >w> I'm glad you like her outfits! Her casual outfit was one of those glorified doodles when I just tossed stuff on it to see what stuck.
She is breaking a lot of stuff here. Even though stuff gets fixed, she can still feel quite embarrassed for being so disruptive in the first place.
I do get a lot of fun in adding little details with hands doing stuff like that from macro activities~

It looks good on her regardless. Sometimes throwing things at the wall to see what sticks works out extremely well.
Understandable, especially since embarrassment at this situation would actually be more common than true fear because everything your character destroy gets fixed up again, so therefore they have a lot more mental room to feel embarrassment since they know no one will be hurt.
The usage of hands is underrated and can make poses a lot more dynamic than they otherwise would be.
