First thing we did coming back from the frame shop is put stuff on the walls! :D

So this guy is the Mountain King, but now he's also king of our wall. He also has dominion over such surrounding territories as bookcase and foyer by proximity. Though.. technically I guess he's beside the foyer but in the living room but.. bah. XD

He's in a dark wooden frame with gold accents that not only goes well with the colors in the image, but also with our furniture, so woot :D The matte is paired pretty closely with the original canvas color and sports a french line to break up some of the white as well as well as to start a bit of a directional quality to bring the eye toward the piece. Or that was the intent, anyways.

I've had a really good experience from when I first bought this lovely art at auction all the way to framing it. And we didn't destroy the wall putting it up either so that's a plus. Our stud finder was being a little wonky when we were looking for them so we were a little nervous there.
