Niirisha and Derrin welcome you to their humble inn in the borderlands along the road towards Moonrest.
Their inn has become quite popular with all sorts of travelers and adventurers traveling between the northern kingdoms and the southern empire, even bird folk make a deliberate stop there for the food being one of the few places you can get authentic Vossen cuisine. Both Derrin and Niirisha do the cooking while Niirisha waits tables, sometimes helped by their children when it gets exceptionally busy, when they aren't helping out around the inn the children will be off hunting and foraging in the forest or fishing at the nearby river for some fresh supplies. (Vossen children learn to fend for themselves quickly in comparison to most races.)Derrin also brews his own ales and spirits from local ingredients which have become quite popular among the nobility and wealthy who are willing to pay very high prices for a single bottle due to the limited supply as Derrin can only brew so much at a time to barly have a few spare bottles that aren't emptied by the inn's guests before a new batch is made.
The inn has 7 rooms available in the main building but as the number of guests increased they needed to provide more space for overnight guests, so they had a new wing built with a communal sleepping area and later expanded that with an upper floor "roost" catering to the increase in bird folk staying at the inn. This is only accessible to those who can fly or by a locked staircase in case they need to clean up there. The downstairs sleeping area has seen some use as an emergency hospital when soldiers need to care for their wounded after they've had a run in with bandit gangs or a roaming monster so the area is regularly patrolled and kept safe, but if anyone would be foolish enough to try start troouble at the inn Derrin and Niirisha can take care of themselves as former adventurers, plus there usually are at least a few other armed adventurers staying at the inn at all times who are more than happy to come to the defense of their hosts.

Yeah I know Furcadia, but lost all my characters there long ago as I forgot to log them in once in a while. Also pretty sure I lost access to the account long ago when they changed from just requiring an email to gettign an actual account with limited character slots.
Also isn't Lost lakes where where Dan & Mab's adventures originated from? Sorry to hear the owner of that dream passed away.

Doesn't seem to have a limit on character slots, lord knows I have a ton of them.... Yes, Dan & Mab was started by one of the original group of players in that Guild. I still have some screen shots of Alexsi and Mab chatting in game. Yeah, we lost Alexsi's player in 2004 - She'd had lung cancer that left her with just one lung that was failing. My character Roy Seigfried was her last in game mate. I'd told her I'd help keep the place going for as long as I could. Been damn near 20 years now. One of the original group was good friends with Bernard Doove. Some years ago I added a chakat avatar patch to Lost Lakes, gave that player a good laugh when I asked him if he didn't mind - he was part of the staff of the guild.
Oh, Tavern characters are fun to make with Hero Forge One of the extended family here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39823028/ Mix of Weretiger and Wolf Demon - runs a tavern in a mining town that is mostly populated by Germanic Dwarf Equines - sort of Neibelung Pit Ponies...
