Born 100 years ago, in Brazil, rich farmers acquired animals from other countries, horses: Friesian, Gypsy Vanner, Akhal teke, Lusitano and crossed with the Brazilian Northeastern Horse, the one from the region and is predominant and still exists.
Thus obtaining tall animals, of beauty and docility to pull carts, work in the field, withstand any climate. They can participate in equestrian sports like dressage, conformation, freedom and others.
The name "Tesouro" was a joke between breeders and the name stuck.
"Tesouro" is in Portuguese, the translate is "Treasure".

​The mane can be crooped or can be long

All coat colors are accepted. But the albino cannot reproduce.

Totally black horses without a tip of any other color are rare and Horses with coat called chimeras are legendary, to get them only at events

​ Long and thin neck, concave and hairy head (a little straight can be accepted), strong and muscular chest and feet, slightly hairy feet.
