Today was finally the day. The day I go off on my journey. I was nervous. I was going off to explore an unknown alien land. With only a fire chicken and stuff in the satchels on my kilt.
“Nervous?”
I looked at Birch, “Yes.”
“How about we have a quick refresher course, to ease your nerves.” I nodded my head “Good. First off, how do you catch a Pokemon?”
“With a PokeBall. There are many methods to catch them, but the most common is battling them.”
Birch nodded his head, “Good. Next question, how many Pokemon is a trainer allowed to carry.”
“Six in total.”
“Correct. Now how many attempts are you allowed to catch a Pokemon.”
“First of every area.”
“Correct. There are exceptions to that rule such as a Pokemon given to by another trainer. Next question. In a battle, what are you not allowed to do?”
“I’m not allowed to catch another trainer’s Pokemon.”
“Correct,” I felt more relaxed as I answered his question, “Good, it seems like you're ready,” He handed me 5 PokeBalls and a Pokedex. Now remember to take things at your own pace. Don’t overexert yourself or your Pokemon too much.``
“I won’t.”
I waved goodbye as I began my travel in this new world.
The first time I went on route 101, I didn’t get the time to look around. The place was woodland like
(Okay. This shouldn’t be Jazz. It's just like finding bugs in your yard. Not that different. Only except for the fact it's aliens with superpowers…okay I should not have thought about that.”) I heard a bark. I looked in the direction where it was coming from and saw a familiar grey canine like Pokemon with black marking, (“Poochyena.)
I tapped torchic on her head and pointed her in the direction of the wild Pokemon. She prepared to lunge at the unsuspecting Pokemon.
“Wait, Torchic,” I pulled out a PokeBall, “I want to try something. If it fails, prepare to fight.”
She nodded her head. We slowly crept up toward, my heart racing and my hands shaking as I prepared to do a back strike. As soon as I got near enough, I tossed the Poke ball at Poochyena….but nothing happened. The ball didn’t open. What was even weirder was that the Poochyena didn't react at all. Me and Torchic carefully walked over to it and saw that it wasn’t a real one, but a plushie. Right beside it was a voice recorder.
I picked them up, “Why are they left here?”
I jumped up as I suddenly felt something brushed up behind me. I looked around and spotted something dashing away. It was a tiny brown fox like Pokemon with long ears and light beige chest fur. In its mouth was one of my satchels.
(“Did I just get tricked by a Pokemon?” Well it was my own fault for letting my guard down?”) “Well Torchic, looks like I’m going to need to get a new one.”
“TOR!” She let out an squawk angrily and chased after.
“Torchic, wait!” I ran after them.
We ran all the way from the route through Oldales town. It headed up north to Route 103. When it passed by the opening, it lost balance and fell flat onto the ground.
(“What in blazes- No time to question it,”) I pulled out another Poke ball and chucked it at the tiny thief and a beam of energy surrounds it and Iit get sucked into the sphere. Paloma quickly ran over and picked up my stolen satchel and handed it back to me. “Thank you. I felt nervous.

click.
(“ I did it…I DID IT!”) I jumped up in the air with excitement. “I caught a Pokemon.”
“Torchic!” Torchic chirped with joy.
I walked over and picked up the Poke Ball. As I bent over to grab it, I noticed some slim threads on the ground. I followed it and led one of the trees and the source of the silk. Standing right on one of the branches was a giant green caterpillar, “A Pokemon?,” I pulled out my Pokedex and scanned it, “Caterpie. The worm Pokemon. “ I stared at it. It was shaking in fear.
“Hey, it's okay little guy,” I said in a calm voice, “I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to say thanks for stopping that thief. “ It let out a sheepish growl, “Hey, wanna come with us.” It hesitated a bit before nodding its head and crawled out from the foliage, “Welcome aboard.”
The day wasn’t over yet and already my journey was exciting and hectic. I wonder what will tomorrow.
