Olle wakes up earlier than usual and he feels he has to go to the toilet. He ate two people yesterday and they are ready to be pooped out now. Olle goes to the toilet and defecates and all poo can be flushed down perfectly.
Olle is surprised that he doesn't feel any pressure from any eggs. He usually lays eggs every other day, but there don't seem to be any eggs either in the abdomen or near the anus. Olle gets a little worried that something has happened to the egg formation as he had such severe diarrhoea. If that's the case, he can't do anything about it even though he thinks it's sad that no eggs are popping out today. But he has over 30 baby dragons in his apartment and they have grown overnight and it is already getting a little crowded in the apartment.
Olle thinks about what to do with the baby dragons and realizes that he has the central key to all the apartments and he knows that the farthest apartment to the right of his front door is empty because no one lives there right now. Olle takes the key with him and wakes up 10 baby dragons and they walk together towards the front door.
It is empty outside on the stairs and the light is not on and there are no sounds from the apartments. Olle unlocks the empty apartment and lets the baby dragons in. They go in and start exploring the apartment. Of course, there is no food in either the fridge or freezer, so Olle has to get food for the baby dragons. At least the dragon cubs seem to be enjoying themselves in the apartment. Olle leaves the apartment and closes the door. He's going to get food for the baby dragons and doesn't want the door to be open then. Olle starts to go to his apartment.
Suddenly the door to the apartment which is next to Liselott's opens and there is an elderly couple living in that apartment. It is the man who opens the front door and he stands and looks at Olle for a short while before he quickly closes his front door again. Olle doesn't know the couple very well and thinks that they can certainly be good food for the baby dragons. Now that the old man has seen him, he cannot let him or his wife live. Normally, Olle would have hesitated to kill the elderly couple but his dragon instincts have slowly removed most of the inhibitions he has had as a human. Olle is starting to become a dangerous beast and it started with Liselott's death.
Olle hears the lock being turned on the front door of the elderly couple but it doesn't stop him because he has the central key with him. Olle goes to the elderly couple's front door and unlocks the door, opening it a few seconds later. Olle leaves the key hanging in the lock. The older man is standing in the hall and looks very scared when Olle opens the door and enters the apartment. The older man has a phone in one hand but it doesn't look like he's had time to call anyone yet. The old man pleads and prays.
- Please. Let me be.
But Olle doesn't listen to the old man's plea and goes on the attack and he effectively bites the man's head off and it rolls onto the floor. Olle hears his wife's voice from the bedroom.
- What is going on? Are you okay, Ake?
Olle walks into the bedroom and the older lady catches sight of him and almost looks she will faint with terror for a few seconds. She sees the blood on Olle's jaw and understands. Gunvor has lived for many years and has managed to do a lot. Åke and Gunvor have previously traveled to many countries and taken long walks through Gothenburg. In the past year, she and Åke have mostly stayed at home because they no longer have the energy to travel and go on the long walks they used to. In some way, Gunvor feels finished with life, but that does not mean that she had voluntarily agreed to become a dragon's food. But now she has no choice.
Gunvor backs further into the bedroom. She doesn't want this big dragon near her. Gunvor knows what has happened at Ullevi, Liseberg and the Nordstan shopping center and she wonders how the dragon got into the apartment building. The outer gate is always locked, so a key is needed to enter the apartment building. Gunvor discreetly looks under the bed and wonders if she can reach the ball club that is under the bed on Åke's side of the bed. They have kept the ball club there for many years in case a robber breaks into their apartment.
But Gunvor doesn't have time to pick up the ball club before Olle becomes lightning fast and moves extremely quickly towards her. Olle grabs Gunvor's neck and crushes her trachea and there is a loud crack as the trachea is crushed. Gunvor can no longer get any air and it won't be long before she dies. Olle opens his jaw and grabs Gunvor's hair with his jaw and begins to drag her body out of the bedroom. Olle continues to pull out the dead body and goes back out onto the stairs while he keeps pulling the body.
Olle doesn't let go of Gunvor's body until he reaches the empty apartment where the 10 baby dragons are. He opens the door and pulls Gunvor's body in and goes to get Åke's body as well. When both bodies are inside the apartment, Olle pulls off reasonably large pieces of meat and gives them to the dragon cubs. The dragon cubs eat the meat with good appetite.
Meanwhile in the city, some dragons fly around and spew fire on apartment buildings and other buildings. It is the dragons that burned down the entire Nordstan shopping center a few days before. These dragons have become full-fledged pyromaniacs. They love to see when houses and other places are on fire. The dragons have noticed that there aren't as many other dragons flying around in the city anymore, but they don't care too much about it. They don't know that the other dragons have been poisoned by flesh from the defense. They also don't know that the military has shot several dragons with a tank and run over baby dragons.
The dragons spew red-hot fire at several windows of an apartment building and they crack from the immense heat. Many of those living in the apartment building are still sleeping when the dragons spew their fire, and they don't even have time to get out of bed before the dragons spew more fire, enveloping the people with the red-hot fire. The people's beds and those lying in them begin to burn heavily and the fire spreads through and between the apartments like a great wildfire. It doesn't take long until every apartment is on fire and flames are pouring out of every window. The dragons are satisfied and fly to the next apartment building.
The dragons spew red-hot fire on all the windows in the apartment building and the fire of the dragons is so hot that it is light blue. The windows shatter in mere seconds and the dragons once again spew bright blue fire through the broken windows, igniting everything combustible. The fires start so quickly that the people have no chance to get out and they are all burned alive. After a while, the dragons can smell the smell of burnt human flesh fill their noses. After a short while the dragons fly to a building.
The dragons look at the building and they don't smell a strong human scent from it but it doesn't matter. The dragons spew red-hot fire at the building's windows, and when they break from the heat, the dragons spew more fire through the windows, igniting everything combustible. The flames soon rise high from every room that is ignited. It is a school for people with disabilities that the dragons spray their fire on. It's summer vacation and there hasn't been anyone at school for three weeks. But the dragons don't know it's a school. They only care about setting every apartment building and building they see on fire. The dragons fly past a smaller forest and set the entire forest on fire with their bluish fire that they keep spewing out. The smoke is starting to get thick in the city again.
Meanwhile, while the dragons attack the forest, Hasse and Madelene wake up in their comfortable bed and stretch and yawn before getting up. They have slept very well during the night, although Hasse has a little pain in his back and shoulders after the work of burning the dragons the previous day. Today is Sunday and neither Hasse nor Madelene have anything planned today. The phone rings and Hasse goes to answer it. It's Robert from the defense base in Toltorp.
- Hi Hasse. It's Robert. I have spoken to my bosses and you are welcome to help plant bombs in Hugo's cave and kill the dragon queen. It would also work with poisoned meat. I would also thank you for the tip that they can be found in caves and mines. I managed to find three pairs of dragons yesterday evening in an old mine in Toltorp. They are dead and burned up now.
- Oh so good. How did you kill the dragons in the mine? Did the dragon horn work well?
- Luckily there were big holes in the roof above the mine so I threw down poisoned meat to the adult dragons and they ate it all. The dragon horn worked great. We must have killed over 70 dragons in Slottsskogen. Over 400 dragons were also killed by poisoned meat that was dumped at Lindholmen. We haven't collected all the dead dragons yet. I'm heading to the Avenue soon to pick up some dead dragons that are said to be in the park.
- That sounds great. I heard "Hesa Fredrik" yesterday. How come the signal was not used on Friday?
- Presumably, it was probably due to the fact that few saw the seriousness of what happened. The dragons attacked very quickly and unexpectedly and in several places at the same time.
While talking to Robert, Hasse comes up with something important that might be of use when they are looking for any more dragon couples. Food. The dragons must have food themselves and feed their young dragons. What type of food is easiest for a dragon to find? Yes, humans and farm animals as well as other animals that humans have such as horses and other things. Hasse saw several farm animals from Einar's farm and some horses when he was in the Hugo cave last time. He must tell Robert about this.
- Robert, I came to think of one thing. Farmers and others who have farm animals, and horses and such, they usually report if they are missing any animals, don't they?
- I guess so.
- I know that the pair of dragons in the Hugo cave have collected various animals from a farmer named Einar, but I also saw some dead horses when I was there last time. Einar has no horses but there is a large horse farm near Mölndal.
- Okay. I have not seen any reports of missing animals. The police probably have such reports.
- My tip is that you get the reports and check in which areas many animals are missing. There are probably several dragon pairs in or around those areas. You know, both the baby dragons and the adults need a lot of food.
- My God, you're so clever. I didn't even have a thought about that, but I'm absolutely sure you're right. I will immediately contact the police and look into this. I'll call you back as soon as I get an answer, but I also wanted to ask you about another thing.
- Just ask.
- We intend to have a meeting with the military in a few hours and look at maps and try to figure out where all the dragons that breed are. Do you want to join that meeting?
- Yes, I would be happy to attend the meeting.
- But then we say so. I'll call the police and see if they have a list of missing animals and then I'll call you and tell them where we're going to meet and how to get there.
- Absolutely.
The call ends and Hasse hangs up. Madelene stands in front of him with a questioning look.
- Are you going to a meeting?
- Well, the defense and the military are going to have a meeting where they check maps for caves and mines and things like that and I was asked if I wanted to join the meeting and I said yes. Robert apparently found three pairs of dragons in a mine in Toltorp later yesterday and those dragons are now dead.
- It must be Bente's mine in that case. It was really big.
- Bente's mine?
- A family business. They had two gigantic mines. One in Toltorp and one in Partille. Both are secluded in separate forests. My family knew the people who owned the mines so that's why I know them.
- Have you been to any of them?
- Only in the one that was in Toltorp. I grew up in Toltorp.
- So cool. By the way, the managers have given me the go-ahead to place bombs in the dragon queen's cave in Åby.
- Then you have to promise me to be very careful.
- She has always trusted me and I am a dragon whisperer. It won't be a problem.
- Hmm. Shall we have breakfast? I'm hungry like a wolf.
- Yes me too. Breakfast sounds good.
Hasse and Madelene go into the kitchen and look for what kind of food is in the fridge. Hasse finds a carton of eggs and feels like boiling them. He pours water into a pan and puts it on the plate. When he looks at the eggs, he gets an interesting thought in his head. Is it possible to cook and eat dragon eggs?
- Madelene, do you think it is possible to cook and eat dragon eggs?
- Those aren't dragon eggs, are they?
- No, no, they are regular eggs. I thought more if someone found dragon eggs. What do you think, would they go to eat?
- I have no idea. I guess it depends on whether or not any dragon embroyo has started growing in them. If there is no embryo, they might be edible if you boiled them first.
- Do you think it would have been possible to eat dragon meat? So if the meat is filleted and fried?
- I doubt if it would be that healthy to eat a dragon's meat but what do I know. Did you intend to kill a dragon and serve its meat?
- Nah. I hadn't thought of that. I was just wondering what you think about it.
- I prefer to cook food that I know is completely safe and that I can make without major problems. A dragon might have had to be cut into many pieces and no, I hadn't taken that time. Okay, if the meat was very good, maybe, but absolutely not otherwise. Considering that there was so much gas smell in the cave after the dragon had spewed fire, I'm not sure if even their meat is usable.
- The cave?
- At Liseberg, which we hid in the other day. The dragon sprayed fire on the stone we were standing on. Don't you remember that?
- I remember that, but I didn't notice any gas smell as far as I remember anyway.
- So much crap happened that day, so that's probably why you don't remember it.
- Yes, we got a lot of dragon poo on us that day.
- Do we have to talk about it while we're in the kitchen? I lose my appetite just thinking about it.
- Okay, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.
The water in the pan has started to boil and Hasse puts in two eggs and looks at Madelene.
- How many eggs do you want?
- I also want two eggs. Hard boiled so they can be used on sandwiches.
- Me too. It becomes so difficult if the yolk runs around on the sandwich.
Both Hasse and Madelene laugh and Hasse puts in two more eggs and sets the timer for nine minutes. Hasse takes out sandwiches and starts the coffee machine. The kitchen soon starts to smell good.
While Hasse and Madelene are fixing breakfast, Robert makes contact with an acquaintance who works at the police. As it is Sunday, there are not many people at the station, but the police soon find a list of missing animals and send it to Robert via email. It's a very long list.
Robert prints all the papers in the email and there are a lot of papers. When everything is written out, Robert sits down and looks through where the most animals have disappeared. There are some places where significantly more animals have disappeared than in other places. Those places are Åby, Toltorp, Lillhagen and Partille. Robert goes on Google earth and looks for large caves and mines in the areas in question.
Robert soon finds the cave in Åby where Sven killed a pair of dragons in 1909 and also Hugo's cave although it doesn't look like a cave from above. The mine is a little harder to find, but Robert searches Google for Åby mine and comes up with an interesting page. It shows the mine when it was in operation. He can see that it was big but not as big as the one in Toltorp. If there are any dragons living there, it's probably only one pair at most.
Robert marks the two caves and the mine on a map and sees that there is a perfect triangle between the three places. In the middle of the triangle there are several farms and all the villas. It is no longer so strange that the villas in Åby were the first to be attacked by the dragons. Einar's farm is closest to Hugo's cave and Robert decides to call Einar. The signals go forward and eventually someone answers.
- You have come to Einar's farm. Can I help with something?
- Yes, my name is Robert and I work at the defense. I would like to ask Einar about the missing animals.
- You mean the ones the dragon fetched? Wait a minute and I'll get him.
Robert thinks it's interesting that Einar knows it's a dragon that has taken his animals. It is quiet for a while but soon a noisy man's voice is heard on the phone.
- Hi, I'm Einar. I heard you were interested in the missing animals on my farm.
- Yes absolutely.
- All animals that have gone missing have been retrieved by a large purple colored dragon. I only have a few milk cows left. They are standing in a place that the dragon has not entered, luckily.
- So you have seen the dragon when it has collected your animals?
- Yes, and I have reported it every time, but the police have not followed up on any of my reports. No one has been to my farm to look. I have found dragon droppings but no one has been interested in helping me, until now. I guess the events in the city are behind it.
- Hmm, maybe so. So the police have shown absolutely no interest in this?
- Not at all. I'm quite frustrated actually.
- I can understand that. When was the last time you saw the dragon?
- Six days ago. It picked up my last mini goats. One of them was pregnant and was due to give birth in just a few days.
- So boring. Have you seen other dragons on your farm?
- I have seen others who have flown by but they have not picked up any animals.
- When was the last time you saw dragons flying by?
- On Friday, I think. There was a large flock that flew past in the morning. I'm pretty sure the purple colored dragon was with them then but he didn't fetch any animals.
- I understand. Yes, I have to thank you for the answers and wish you the best of luck.
Robert hangs up and continues to look at the other places where many missing animals have been reported. In Toltorp, he knows what has happened and those dragons are dead now. Robert looks at Lillhagen on Google Earth and after a while of searching, he finds what looks like a very large cave. Robert marks the place on the big map and looks at Partille. There doesn't seem to be any big cave or mine there, but when he searches Google for mine partille, he finds a giant mine identical to the one in Toltorp
When Robert takes a closer look at the history, he sees that it is the same company that both built and owned the mines. Robert searches a little more carefully on Google earth and finally finds the mine. Just like in Toltorp, it is secluded by a large forest. The mine is so big that several pairs of dragons can live there. Robert nods to himself. Now he has control over several caves and mines.
There are several other places on the list of missing animals and the ones that stand out the most are; Landala, Eklanda, Balltorp, Gårda, Hult, Unnered, Backadalen and Lexby. Robert concludes that there are probably dragon pairs in those areas.
There are also some other places that are affected but those reports are very few and most of them were made several weeks ago. Robert still feels that it is good to check out these areas as well. The locations are; Lärje, Angered, Puketorp, Furulund, Jonsered, Oxeryd, Risbacka, Romelanda and Löstorp.
Robert calls the military and talks about where to have the meeting. It will be at the defense base in Toltorp. Robert calls Hasse and explains how to get there. But before the meeting will take place, Robert will help pick up dead dragons in the city. Just in case, he takes two sharp swords with him. They might see some baby dragons and they can be easily killed with the swords.
Robert gets into a large truck with an open trailer and drives into the city. The avenue is first on the map of where the dragons are.
Meanwhile in the city in an apartment building on Avenyn, Olle has let ten baby dragons into Åke and Gunvor's apartment and they have been given food that has been in the older couple's fridge and freezer. Olle had to heat the frozen food with his fire so the baby dragons could eat it. Olle goes in to see the baby dragons who are in Liselott's apartment and they are doing well. Olle also feeds them food from Liselott's fridge and freezer. Now only the young dragons remain, which are in Olle's and the landlord's apartment.
The dragon cubs in the landlord's apartment have found it too crowded and they have had very little to do and it makes them very restless. Sometimes they have beeped loudly but have received no response from their father or any other dragon. Meanwhile, while Olle is feeding the baby dragons that are in Åke and Gunvor's apartment, the baby dragons in the landlord's apartment manage to open a window that is at the back of the apartment building. Some of the baby dragons decide to get out the window and see what's outside. They climb out and end up on the ground outside the apartment building.
A total of ten dragons get out through the window, but the others like to stay in the apartment. The dragon cubs that have made it out soon spot the large garbage container at the back of the apartment building and they jump into it looking for food. There is plenty of food, but there are also several bags of sticky feces and when the bags break, the baby dragons' feet turn completely brown. But the baby dragons don't care and continue to look for food. Finally, they are full and leave the container.
The dragon cubs look around and find a larger door which they manage to open and escape through. Now they have come out into the street and they walk around for a while and choose to walk towards the Avenue itself. Pretty soon the baby dragons see a larger park nearby and they head there. There are four adult dragons in the park, but they don't move.
Since there are no longer a lot of dragons flying around everywhere, several people have gone out and some are sitting and having coffee on a bench in the park when the baby dragons come running. The people get a little worried but soon realize that they are baby dragons and they may not be as dangerous as the adults. Some of the people take pictures of the baby dragons. The dragon cubs are playing pranks on each other and the humans are amused by what they do. They are like other cute baby animals.
Some of the baby dragons approach the four adult dragons and try to wake them up but the four dragons have been dead for a day and won't wake up no matter how much the baby dragons push them. The baby dragons have no understanding yet of what death means and they become worried and beep very loudly when the adult dragons do not wake up.
One of the adults in the park takes pity on the baby dragons and throws a frisbee to get them curious and leave the dead dragons. The baby dragons immediately become curious and leave the adult dragons. The baby dragons sniff the Frisbee and make it move. The baby dragons back off and run away for a bit but are soon back there and they discover they can move this round toy around with their noses. They think this is fun. Some tourists who have just arrived at the park are filming the playing baby dragons. Some of the people in the park wonder where the parents of the baby dragons are.
Meanwhile, while the baby dragons are playing with frisbees in the park, Olle goes into the landlord's apartment and he feels that there is air coming from somewhere and that there are fewer baby dragons than when he left the apartment yesterday. Olle finds the open living room window and closes it, asking the remaining baby dragons where the others have gone. They point to the window that was just open. Olle counts the young dragons that are in the apartment and there are eight of them. He would like to find the other ten.
Olle goes into the kitchen and pulls out food from the fridge and freezer and makes sure that the baby dragons are fed. When he's done, he looks out the window and sees the missing baby dragons in the park. Olle is just about to open the window and call out to the dragon cubs, but then a large military vehicle and a giant truck with an open trailer drive by and Olle doesn't dare call out to his dragon cubs. He also sees that there are many people in the park. Olle tells his remaining dragon cubs that they must absolutely not leave the apartment. Olle goes upstairs and says the same thing to his dragon cubs. Stay in the apartment. Don't go out.
Olle then goes to his own apartment and goes to the kitchen window to see what is happening outside. The big truck has already driven into the park and some workers are moving some of the dead dragons closer to the truck. Olle watches from his window as one of the workers takes out a long chain and puts it under one of the dragons. The chain is lifted up to a strong cable and the engine is started and the dragon is slowly lifted up towards the open trailer. Another large truck comes driving and parks near where the dragon is and is lifted up. A chain is placed under another dragon and the chain is put in a strong wire and a motor starts. Now there are two dragons being lifted up against each other's trailer.
Soon the first dragon is on the open trailer and the chains are removed and the truck drives off. Olle wonders where they are taking the dead dragons. The second dragon is also soon on the second truck and it drives off. Just as the second truck drives off, two more trucks arrive one after the other. They also drive down the park. One driver immediately starts to pick up the third dragon but the fourth looks around and seems to be looking at the baby dragons. The fourth person walks up to some people and starts talking to them. They gesture to the baby dragons several times. Olle growls quietly; leave my dragon babies alone. They have done no harm to anyone.
Olle sees that the man picks up a large system camera and takes pictures of the dragon cubs. Olle thinks it's okay that he takes photos of the dragon cubs. Some of the baby dragons that are in Olle's apartment want to see what's going on out there and they jump up on the kitchen table and look out the window. The man goes back to his truck and seems to leave the camera there but he also seems to pick up something. When he turns around and closes the door of the truck, Olle sees what it is. Those are two very long swords.
The man holds both swords in a good grip and begins to walk back to where he stood before talking to the people. But suddenly he changes direction and approaches the dragon cubs instead. The dragon cubs do not look in the man's direction but are focused on something lying in the grass, but Olle cannot see what it is. Ideally, he wants to open the window and make a warning sound to the dragon cubs, but the risk is very high that the man with the sword will see him then.
The man approaches the baby dragons quickly and when he is there he plunges the first sword deep into the first baby dragon's abdomen. The baby dragon screams because it hurts and the man quickly plunges the other sword into another baby dragon's abdomen. Olle knows that the abdomen in particular is vulnerable on both baby dragons and adult dragons. Blood spurts from the two baby dragons' abdomens, staining the grass red. Olle gets very angry when he sees the man harming his dragon cubs and he involuntarily starts growling loudly. The dragon cubs who have jumped onto the table and also see what is happening are horrified by what they see.
Some of the other baby dragons who see what is happening to their friends understand that it is dangerous to stay where they are and they fly away to a larger lake. They look down into the water but stay on land so long. Meanwhile, the two baby dragons that were attacked by the swords fall together on the ground and do not move anymore. The man pulls out the swords from the baby dragons' abdomens and approaches the three other baby dragons standing in front of him. The blood glistens on the two swords. The dragon cubs are scared and don't know where to go.
The man thrusts one sword into one dragon's abdomen and the other into the other dragon's abdomen. The third dragon gets angry and spits fire at the man but the flame is very small so he only gets a burn mark on one arm. Blood spurts out of the two baby dragons' abdomens and Olle growls so loudly that the windowpane rattles. But then he realizes that the neighbor below him might hear the growling and shuts up.
A tall military man gets out of the military vehicle that is parked on the street outside the apartment building and he takes out a camera and takes a lot of pictures towards the park but also the street itself and the apartment buildings around. The military turns to the apartment building where Olle lives and takes several photos. Olle walks backwards so that he will not be seen in the picture and he hopes that the camera was not aimed so high that he is visible in the window in the first pictures. Olle tells the dragon cubs on the table that they should also back off a bit.
The two baby dragons that have each had a sword in their abdomen die and the man pulls out the first sword and stabs it into the abdomen of the fifth baby dragon and blood spurts from its abdomen after a very short while. When the baby dragon is also dead, the man goes towards the other baby dragons who are by the water. Olle can't see what's happening to the baby dragons over by the water because it's so far away but he guesses that they too will die soon.
A grey/brown car from the defense comes driving and parks next to the military vehicle. It is the task leader from Åby who wants to see how the transport of the dragons is going. The task leader goes down to the park and sees the five dead dragons. They are very young and he wonders where their parents are. Robert is heading towards the water where the other five baby dragons are and when he gets closer they jump into the water. It is quite deep where the baby dragons jump down, but after a while Robert sees to his surprise that they are swimming in the water. He didn't know they can swim.
The task leader from Åby walks up to Robert and they stand and look at the swimming baby dragons. Robert has a firm grip on the two swords but the baby dragons swimming are too far away for him to stick the swords into. The task leader from Åby calls the military and requests that they come to the park with machine guns and shoot the baby dragons dead. The military who responds is doubtful that it's a good idea because people could get hurt, but the operator assures that no one but the dragons will be hurt because they're in the water. The military promises that a team will arrive as soon as possible.
The task leader from Åby asks Robert if he knows where the parents of the baby dragons are, but he doesn't know. Robert tells that Hasse will participate in the meeting in an hour or so, and the task leader from Åby looks angry when he finds out. Robert walks over to the truck and loads the last remaining large dragon. The truck that loaded the third has already left and is on its way to the dump. Another task leader is there because the one from Åby will be at the meeting later and he is tired since yesterday.
The baby dragons in the water swim around and look up at the task leader from Åby, and he almost gets angry that they seem to be mocking him. Meanwhile, Robert runs long chains under the big dragon and when everyone is where they should be, he takes the ends and puts them on a very strong wire that goes to a motor. The engine is started and the dragon begins to be lifted up towards the open space of the trailer. The engine is strong but not that fast so it takes a while before the dragon is finally up on the trailer. Robert removes the chains when the dragon is loaded.
Robert goes back to the lake where the swimming baby dragons are and shortly after a large military vehicle arrives and they drive down to the water. The military leave the vehicle and they all have large machine guns with them. Robert shows where the dragon cubs are and walks away so the military can do their job. The military shoots the baby dragons and there is a loud clatter throughout the park. Dragon cub after dragon cub is hit by the sharp shots and drowns. It's all over in just two minutes. The soldiers go to their vehicle again and now it is the defense's job to drive the dead dragon cubs to the dump, but it will not be Robert or the task leader from Åby who will do that job.
Robert goes to his truck and drives to the dump and unloads the dragon there and then drives to the defense base in Toltorp where he works and where the meeting is supposed to be. The operations leader from Åby drives directly to the defense base in Toltorp. He knows the code to the facility so he gets into the house where they are going to have the meeting.
During the time that the adult dragons are collected in the park and the baby dragons are killed, three garbage trucks drive to the area outside Liseberg and dump lots of poisoned meat on the ground. Hasse and Madelene see when the meat is dumped and they also see when several dragons come flying and start eating the meat. Hasse has no relation to these dragons so he doesn't feel sorry for them.
Among other things, it is the dragons that set the Nordstan shopping center on fire that eat the meat. They are very hungry and they don't care about summoning other dragons. But it is not necessary. All the dragons that are left in the city are very hungry and their sensitive noses mean that they find the meat quickly now that there are not so many people in motion to distract them.
Some of the eating dragons start to fight with some new arrivals as it gets crowded by the meat piles. The roar of the dragons can be heard all the way to Hasse and Madelene and Hasse is amused by the whole thing because he knows that any dragon that eats the meat will die of poisoning. But the dragons don't know about that. A few dragons that are full fly on and the new arrivals get a place by the pile they were standing at. The dragons voraciously devour piece of meat after piece of meat and in the end it is completely empty of meat but every dragon left in the city has now been poisoned by their own hunger and greed.
Hasse looks at his watch and knows it is time to drive to the meeting in Toltorp. He says goodbye to Madelene and promises to be back as soon as possible. Madelene asks if he wants to eat homemade pizza when he gets home, and he wants to. Hasse goes down to the garage and drives to the defense base in Toltorp. Hasse arrives at the base half an hour later and everyone there has just arrived. Hasse enters the room where the meeting is to be held and the door closes.
Robert has posted several maps on the walls of the room and every cave and mine he has found is carefully circled. Hasse sits down on a chair and waits for the meeting to begin. Robert and the task leader from Åby walk forward and stand in front of the seated people.
- You should all be thanked for coming this way on a Sunday. Well, it's time to start this meeting.
Robert clears his throat and takes out the first map. It shows the two caves and the mine in Åby. Robert points with a stick at Hugo's cave.
- As you probably know, the city has been attacked by a lot of dragons and we know that they multiply in several different places. It all started when a private person found three eggs in this cave and took them home. Hasse, can you tell everything you know about the dragons?
Hasse gets up and walks to stand next to Robert and tells the listeners everything he knows about the dragons and how it all started. He even tells us that he is a dragon whisperer and felt the male's torments. Hasse concludes with the words.
- Since I myself was involved and inadvertently started this, it goes without saying that I will help end it as well. The dragon queen in Åby in the Hugo cave will be killed with the help of bombs that I will set out in the cave, but it will probably happen tomorrow.
Hasse goes and sits down in his chair again. It is completely silent in the room. Robert starts talking again.
- Hasse pointed out that there are probably many missing animals in the areas where there are many dragons and I have requested all the reports from the police and there are several areas that are relevant.
One of the others from the defense has a question and raises his hand.
- Are we supposed to go into the caves and kill the dragons? I mean, they can breathe fire.
- No, we have made some progress that will help us kill the dragons. Briefly explained, we inject a nerve agent into large pieces of meat and transport it to the dragons. They eat the flesh and die within two hours. Dragons cannot breathe fire for the last hour they live.
- How did you find this weakness? The task leader from Åby sent in faeces and semen from dragons and no one found this weakness despite careful testing.
- I managed to catch a dragon and had it at the defense base for a while and did various tests. Among other things, we let a person who was going to die of cancer accompany the dragon's entire digestion and everything was filmed with cameras for colonoscopy. For that reason, we have found this weakness. It's not always semen and stool tests show all weaknesses.
- Did the person who was swallowed by the dragon die?
- Yes, of course he did. This person had worked for us before he got cancer and he didn't have long to live so he sacrificed himself for science so to speak. He discovered how they can breathe fire. Each dragon has an elastic organ in its stomachs. They look a bit like a type of scrotum. Gas collects in that organ and when the dragon presses on it and at the same time makes a movement in the throat and opens its jaws wide open, the gas ignites and becomes fire as it spurts out. This was discovered by sheer happenstance when the person was in the dragon's belly and pressed this organ.
- Wow, so cool.
- It sounds awesome, but it must be remembered that the dragons have enormous firepower and they can destroy a huge amount of things through their fire. The dragon in question was locked in a fireproof area and no one was hurt by the fire it spewed out. The dragon was then poisoned by the meat and was later dissected by me.
Hasse come think of what Madelene said about the smell of gas in the cave at Liseberg after the dragon had spewed fire. Now he knows why it smelled like gas.
Robert picks up the map again with the caves and the mine in Åby. He shows the perfect triangle formed by the caves and the mine.
- As you can see, the three different places form a perfect triangle with villas and farms in the middle of the triangle. I have spoken to one of the farmers and the police have not even been to his farm despite several reports of missing animals. It is the now dead dragon from Hugo's cave that took all the animals on his farm. Åby was the first place the dragons attacked. When we see the triangle, most people probably realize that it was not a coincidence.
The task leader from Åby feels a bit stupid because he hasn't had a thought to check for caves and mines in the area, but mostly just concentrated on being angry with Hasse and sending in the sperm and stool samples. He feels he could have done more research.
Robert pulls out the next map. It shows Toltorp and the mine there.
- This mine is now emptied of dragons and they are burned up in the dump. I borrowed a drone from an acquaintance and found the kites. There were three pairs of dragons in the mine. I don't know if they were dragon queens or not.
The task leader from Åby has a question.
- Did you document the dragon couples in any way? Like took a picture of them or something?
- No, I should have but it was so late at night that I never did.
Robert takes out the maps of Lillahagen and Partille.
- Here in Lillhagen there is a very large cave where there is probably room for several pairs of dragons and here in Partille there is a similarly gigantic mine as the one in Toltorp. It is built by the same people. In all these areas there is a great lack of farm animals.
Robert takes out several smaller maps.
- Here are some other places where many farm animals have disappeared, but not as many as in the places I just mentioned. The current areas are: Hisingsparken, Landala, Eklanda, Balltorp, Gårda, Hult, Unnered, Backadalen and Lexby. It has also been reported from several other places but not as much and these are: Lärje, Angered, Puketorp, Furulund, Jonsered, Oxeryd, Risbacka, Romelanda and Löstorp.
Many of the audience catch their breath. No one has believed that there are dragons in so many places in Gothenburg. Hasse is not particularly surprised considering how many dragons there have been in the city in recent days. Hasse realizes that he knows that the pair of dragons in Oxeryd are dead and he clears his throat to get the word out.
- We can probably cross Oxeryd off the list. The dragons that were there are killed by some adult parents. They used swords. An acquaintance of my girlfriend told me about it.
- Do you know if there was a dragon queen there?
- I do not know. I have not seen the dragons but have only heard that it has happened.
- Okay, but then maybe that cave is not that important to check right now. Well, I thought I'd break you up into different areas. Can the task leader from Åby tackle the cave and the mine?
- I will do.
- Does anyone live near Lillhagen?
A few hands are raised among the audience.
- Then you can help out with those dragons. Is there anyone here from the Partille area?
A total of nine hands are raised.
- So good. Three of you can be helped with the dragons in Partille and three with Lexby and the other three with Furulund. Is it going well?
All nine people nod. Of course they want to help.
Does anyone want to check out Hisingsparken and Unnered?
A few hands go up and Robert nods at them letting them know he's seen them. Robert continues to count the areas and finally there is no area left that is not booked.
- But then so. Then I think each district should go on its way now. Of course you get paid extra because it's Sunday and many dragons are to be killed. My colleague outside here is fixing poisoned meat for you to give to the dragons. Any questions?
Nobody has any questions.
- Then we start operation dragon slaying now. Don't forget to document the dragons when they are dead. Be careful. The dragons are dangerous, especially if they have eggs or young.
Everyone who has work leaves the room and Hasse and Robert are soon alone. Hasse is impressed that Robert has taken such good command of everything. He wonders when Hugo's cave will be attacked.
- Is it meant that Hugo's cave will be attacked tomorrow?
- Yes, we won't have time for it today and I will contact the military and get suitable bombs for you to deploy. I think we should drop advanced incendiary bombs in it after it's blown up too, just in case. However, I have to get permission for it from the military first.
- Shall I stay here with you?
- You can stay if you want, but it is not necessary.
- I was thinking of driving home and eating, but is it okay if I come back later?
- It will work good.
Hasse and Robert shake hands and Hasse goes to his car and drives home and eats together with Madelene. He talks about the meeting and the plans for tomorrow. The pizza is very good and both Hasse and Madelene eat with good appetite.
Meanwhile in the city, all the dragons that have eaten the poisoned meat have started to die. Neither of them can move or breathe fire anymore and they are frustrated and feel vulnerable.
After a while, the dragons' memories gradually begin to fade and eventually they no longer know who they are and what they have done in the past few days.
Dragon after dragon takes its last breath and falls asleep for good.
In the meantime, work continues with the burning of dragons at the old landfill in Lärje. Olle's ten dragon cubs are also burned here and the workers are surprised that they are so small.
