Original Species: Quilled Roughalo
The Quilled Roughalo is the smaller relative of the massive Titanotaurus. It inhabits areas closer to the southern end of the Arcadian continent, close to the volcanic region. This species of bovid travels in small herds across dry grasslands, always on the lookout for potential threats.
As a defense mechanism, the Quilled Roughalo developed 4 horns on its head (which can deliver devastating damage if it decides to ram them into a predator) as well as long, spikey quills on its back, which provide extra protection against attacks coming from above. Finally, its tail, which is covered by rings of hardened skin, has yet more sharp quills growing out of it. These serve as a sort of spiked whip, which makes it into a decent predator deterrent.
