Meet Cute - The Princess and the Dragoness
1. Meet cute.
It had been an arduous couple of days for her. Her father, the king, had deemed it fit to "reward her disobedience", whatever that meant.
She awoke to the harsh cold metal of the guard's gauntlets accompanied by an unsettling silence, and no amount of screaming, cursing, or bossing around compelled them to give her even a morsel of information. Even the captain, who she thought her friend, seemed mute.
The second they arrived to their destination, her blood ran colder than her chilled skin in her night shift. She had heard about this place in stories told the common folk to keep them in line. Of legends of maidens sent as tribute to keep the kingdom safe. Was she now to be such a sacrifice?
The guards dumped her tired body unceremoniously on the entrance and left her there. She was shivering, of fear or cold, she didn't know anymore.
In the dim light, she noticed two flickering emerald lights in the distance.
No.
Those weren't torches.
Those were eyes.
The greenest, biggest, meanest eyes she had ever seen, attached to a beast the size of a room that looked at her with... curiosity?
Desperation clawed at her throat as she attempted to reason, to plead, to summon her renowned gift of persuasion. They didn't call her the princess of words for nothing.
But the only thing that came out was "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?"
She was so dead.
I hope you liked that! this is the first page of a comic I'm working on. :)
