Ladies and gentlefreaks, the latest and lastest distinguished guests in my Zodiac series: Pisces the Fish. According to lore, Venus and her son, Cupid, were strolling along the shore of the Euphrates when a 100-headed sea dragon (named Typhon) popped up from the water, intent to ruin their day; luckily for them, a pair of fish came along and swam them to safety.
This one has been on my mind a while, how to properly express the constellation of Pisces with the weapon I've chosen to associate with it: the chain. I was very pleased, however, to know that the sign of Pisces was also called "The Band", in reference to the rope or chain held in the mouths of the fish - divine intervention, right there. Eventually, it became clear as to what I should draw, since I didn't want another double-dip depiction like in Gemini, so, I'll make one of the fish part of the weapon. From here, I began speculating how it should look, and immediately I thought about the mastheads seen on ships of old, with the mermaid or maiden leading the way.
And here we have such an idea.
According to my book, the key phrase of Pisces is "I believe", and so after mulling about as to how her hands should be arranged, I decided upon a bowed head and folded hands, as if in prayer. So you ask, "But why an angler fish?" The fish in the constellation are shown swimming in opposite directions, which is why I've drawn the fish here as polar opposites: ugly and beautiful, living and inanimate, flesh and metal, fishman and mermaid (upper-half fish with human lower-half, and vice verse).

That, my brother, is bloody brilliant. What strikes me is how you use the polar opposites so much in this sign and not in Gemini, where it would seem to belong more intuitively. I am not sure how dichotomous Pisces is actually supposed to be...
Nevertheless, a wonderfully creative and well-drawn pic, and a perfect end to this amazing series. :) And while it is likely not the same astrology book as yours, I do have one that also lists mottoes like that for each of the signs.

Oh that is actually the same book after all. ^_^
And I didn't say it was bad, bro, quite the opposite. Just because Gemini is known for the opposites doesn't mean Pisces can't have them too. I mean off the top of my head I recall that Pisces are supposed to be very emotional people (though not as much as Cancers), but while this means they can be very happy and loving, they are also prone to getting depressed and lost in drink. So...

Congratulations on finishing this project, dude! I must say the entire collection has been quite an interesting look at the zodiac, very good job, man!
On this piece itself, it's quite interesting in the concept and design, the only thing I would critique on is that the Angler Fish's left calf looks a bit off with how it's pressed up against his thigh, but that's all I can see off though, still very awesome stuff, dude!
