A toast for the Lunar New Year. :3

...Or rather, I envisioned an aesthetic that I've always liked, of a dark and cozy apartment/penthouse hotel room in a high rise building looking over a brightly lit, night-drenched city, and decided it was an appropriate time to draw my first anthropomorphized Eastern dragon as the subject enjoying the view. x3 I didn't think I'd manage to capture the opaque quality of the wine in the glass, but I'm quite happy with it, as well as the whole thing overall, although I was worried I wasn't finding the right balance of darkness and light (I wanted a fairly dark picture, but I'm always afraid of making it so dark that I lose my subject). Shading still remains an interesting journey for me, but I am grasping the practice of "less is more" in areas.

As for the dragon, I may name him and draw him again in other formats. He came out quite nicely, but it seems I can never just draw random characters without giving them stories. xP
