                    Angels
Lonely sitting on an unloved shore,
Sits a soul looking for a home,
Wanting to live single no more,
It looks for another who’s not alone.
Long and hard the lonely soul searches,
But to no avail,
The other’s had gone to the churches,
And the soul’s wind was gone from its sails.
Can you see the angels?
They live in the sky.
Can you see the angels?
They guide those who want themselves to die.
Enduring the living nightmare of a different love,
The soul begins to question its existence,
Wondering if something from above,
Had even thought to give it a chance.
The soul knows that many like it had come before,
Souls that had felt the same cruelness,
Outcasts for who they had feelings for.
As they tried to rid themselves of their sadness.
Can you see the angels?
They shelter those who are alone.
Can you see the angels?
They give the lonely souls a loving home.
Silently the soul accepts what it is,
Something that was thought to be worthless,
Not meant to know what love is,
Feeling as though it had been banished from happiness.
The soul begins to stop searching,
Any hope for love lost,
The soul’s heart is still aching,
And slowly the soul becomes covered in frost.
Can you see the angels?
They warm the eternally frigid hearts
Can you see the angels?
They show it where love should start.

Lonely sitting on an unloved shore,
Sits a soul looking for a home,
Wanting to live single no more,
It looks for another who’s not alone.
