Our first homework in Painting class, we could paint anything we wanted - the teacher wanted to see where all of the students were in terms of artistic ability and experience. Many of the kids in the class were complete beginners. I had this feeling I wanted to try an eagle, so I painted from a reference photo I found online - it originally had the full body of the eagle with a chick, but I just wanted to focus on the head and shoulders of it. Loved how this turned out :)
