I’ve been thinking about the tale of the ugly duckling lately. Not sure why.

I’ve never thought myself good-looking and even though it doesn’t bother me as much as it used to, when I was a kid, my appearance bothered me a lot. So, the story resonated with me, not that I ever turned into a swan, but looks do not matter (to me) as much as the things I do and how I treat others.

I’d like to adapt “The Ugly Duckling” one day, I’m not sure if that would be a straight (hah, straight, not from me!) adaptation or just taking inspiration from it.
