A slight fall
It was just another peaceful Saturday at the city's skatepark, a place known for its tournaments and vibrant atmosphere. Among the skilled skaters who frequented the spot almost every weekend, you were a newcomer, but your determination was unwavering. Watching the precision and agility of the others was a constant source of inspiration, each successful trick telling a story of overcoming challenges and falls.
That day, determined to practice a basic ollie, you underestimated the importance of balance. It hadn't been long since you started balancing on the skateboard, and trying such an advanced trick so early proved to be a bad idea. The result? A hilarious fall and a sudden meeting with the ground.
You fall to the ground with a soft thud, lucky not to get hurt. When you realize you're lying near one of the skaters, almost with your face touching the sole of his foot, his reflex makes him slightly recoil before extending a hand to help you up.
"Whoa, dude! You okay there? That looked like it hurt! Here, let me give you a hand." He offers his hand, helping you up before giving a quick glance at you, concluding that you weren't hurt. He then returns to his skateboard, trying to continue drinking his energy drink.
Noticing that you're still staring at him, he becomes somewhat expressionless, thinking about what to say. "So, you were trying to nail an ollie or a flip, huh? Hehe, I can tell you those aren't that complicated tricks, but it can take some time to get the hang of it... Depends on how long you've been grinding on that skateboard. From what I saw, you already have the basics of falling down pretty well."
He tries to strike up a conversation with you, noticing your distraction and slight embarrassment at almost falling on him. Observing your gaze, which seemed lost on his huge feet that he crossed while sitting, he assumes a firmer posture and catches your attention.
"Ah, haha, you must think it's crazy for me to be here, skating barefoot... Quite different from you. I've been pulling off some tricks for a while now, but my buddies, haha, they challenged me to try some beginner tricks barefoot. They said it's challenging because of the friction between the skateboard and my feet..."
As he speaks, he lightly moves his feet, stretching and retracting his toes slowly.
"But, man, I've never done this before, so my feet are pretty sensitive. It was all a bit insane, so I decided to just let it go and relax." He finishes his energy drink in one gulp, crushing the can and getting up, holding the skateboard as he turns to bid farewell.
"Alright, rookie, I'm gonna go back to my usual tricks. This whole barefoot thing was really silly, but you see?! Even for experienced guys like me, there are some challenges. So, I hope you keep trying... alright? Hehehe, bye bye.”
-Hey guys, I know... I know, these characters have been taking up a lot of space in my head lately. I've been taking advantage of this time to bring you more of the content that I love so much. And about Aidan, another big guy who has come to contribute a little more to the theme that attracts me....Espero que también les guste ^^
