Robin had always dreamed of being a heroic space traveler and being the first of her kind in space, fighting space pirates and aliens and command her own fleet one day. But those were just dreams as she had several problems. For one she was incredibly shy and skittish around new people, secondly she never made the cut when trying to join Star Fleet and neither did she make it into Star Corps. And while she was at Fleet academy she found out she was hardly the first taur or even pony taur to go to space as there were plenty of Chakats, cat and dog taurs and even horse and pony taurs like herself even if comparably more rare. Still after two times of having her dreams crushed she did manage to get hired by the recently formed ESL (Euro Space Lines) who offered cruises and transportation for a low budget while offering a higher class service and experience. Ofcourse this meant her pay was not going to be anywhere near that of which she would have made in Fleet or even Star Corps, but at least she made it to space and one of her dreams at least came true, to be the first Belgian pony taur to travel to space which was hardly signifficant as other pony taurs had done so before her but at least it was a small source of pride for her personally.
Now the day has finally come to set off on her first voyage, her parents and her siblings had come to see her off, and she had what little personal possessions she was allowed stuffed in her saddle bags as she headed for the crew boarding area where the company shuttle would take them up to Luna station where the ESL Red Star was docked. She felt a bit ovewhelmed during the shuttle ride while most of her fellow crewmembers she hadn't met yet where full of excitement for their new job, while other first timers like herself were in awe seeing Terra from space for the first time, she nearly started to panic at the realisation that there was no going back now and she had to commit. At Luna base there was a short ceremony for the crew with a brief speech of the company president followed by a summary of the orientation they had a week earlier while the crew was handed their uniforms and change into them before they could finally board the ship to find their cabins. The first passengers wouldn't arrive before two days later, so there would be time for the crew to familiarize themselves with the ship and their stations. Robin was put into general service crew, meaning she would have to do a number of jobs and perhaps interact with passengers which might be a problem with her shyness so she would have to overcome that should the time come.
Ofcourse that would be put to the test sooner than she expected. As she boarded the lift to get to the crew decks where her cabin was she was joined by another crewmember who silently stood beside her as the lift started to move to it's destination. She could feel her heart rate rising again as she got nervous with the close proximity in the enclosed space so she looked aside to try calm herself, while occasionally looking at the larger canine from the corner of her eye. He was wearign the same brown color bars on his uniform as herself, indicationg he was in general services too. While there weren't as many color codes as in Fleet there were at lease a few though with different meaning than their Fleet or Star Corps counterparts. There was gold for bridge crew, blue for security, white for medical services, yellow for engineering and maintenance, and red for customer services and entertainment. He seemed a bit different from some of the other crew she had seen so far, judging by his posture and mannerisms she figured he was perhaps former Fleet or at least academy trained as he seemed a lot more formal keeping his free hand behind his back, respectfully keeping it away from a female crewmember they weren't familar with. Perhaps he sensed her nervousness? She caught a glimpse of the holographic name tag on his uniform which said "Benno Rottmann", obviously an unfamiliar name to her and she wondered where he might be from, perhaps German? This made her glance at her own name tag and reading it calmed her down a bit as she remembered that small amount of pride she felt earlier.
Suddenly she felt the lift slow down as it reached it's destination, the few seconds had almost felt like an eternity with the silence. This reminded her she hadn't even greeted him yet and she felt even more embarassed so as soon as the doors opened she gathered what courage she could and pretended to have only just noticed him because she was lost in thought but the near whisper she said it in betrayed her nervousness. "Oh..Morning..." She felt like she could just fall throught the floor from shame for not remembering her manners, nervous or not, but her ears perked up at his chuckle as he had already left the lift and gestured for her to do so as well "Going my way, I assume, Frau De Draver?" Robin blinked in confusion as to how he knew her name, but he probably saw her name tag when he entered the lift. She took a deep breath to steady herself then stepped out the lift as well, returning his smile briefly before they walked down the corridor together to find their cabins which as it turned out were right across from eachother. "Seems like I am, yes..."

Love the figures and story. Does Hero Forge have a proper head now for equine characters? I've used the minotaur with mods for that for a few years. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52140337/ My take on a Quange and Roy D Ponds III Mr. Foxy character. He loved it.
Not they don't have a horse head yet for anthros, so still have to make do with the minotaur head. There is a feral horse and pony model, and you can use the ears and tail from those at least. There's an antho elk as well but it doesn't really work for a horse.
Another thing I think they should expand on are some actual bird heads that can be posed properly, there's only the raven that can be fully posed but the owl and eagle are just masks you can't really do much with. Also curious there's no pointing pose for the hands, maybe that would be difficult to print or something?

I looked at the anthro elk, the feral one is nicer. Found you can have one character riding it while another runs beside it.
Would be nice to have an actual equine head for the figures. Still I have made my bipedal Fjording Unicorn Hovard with the minotaur base form, ditto for some zebras and some Quange taurs . Oh yes, more bird heads. Did use the Raven head for making up a chimera griffin - had worked up the character some time back on Furcadia and was happy to be able to make her with Hero Forge. Lioness - pregnant with cubs - who had been sold to an alchemist who specialized in flesh alchemy. Some months after giving birth to two liger cubs she tried to escape captivity - but was attacked by one of the mage's Raven creations. She mortally wounded it but had a bad gash on her neck and was bleeding out. The mage fused them together to form the odd Griffin - he hated wasting good materials...
The hand, well I have a printed figure of my one lioness character Esisi. A pointing finger would snap off easily or wouldn't print right. I have whiskers thicker than her fingers on the printed figure.
