Hah, this ia GREAT! I love it. FD as a hillbilly is just funny by itself!
Love all the comments here too. The reason this came up is because I *had* been looking for a couple years, taking odd short-term stupid stuff (and opening up my own small retail/service company for 3 years) just to try and keep a bit coming in to pay car payments and such. No matter where I looked, everything from McDonalds to NASA (literally), from CA to VT, WA to FL, I got ignored or told I was as stated, 'over-qualified'. The joke here is that ya search the high stuff in your career field (6-figures in my case), then the mid stuff (somewhat related to your field, high 5-figures), then the low stuff (that has little to no relevant worth in your field, mid 5-figures), and eventually get down to the point of random menial manual labor (for $6-10/hr) and STILL can't find a position.
If the cartoon had continued, the next few cels would probably be Tek standing in front of a series of different 'hiring managers' in different fields from offices to factories, to .... this, each time his expression getting more and more disappointed, probably with an eye twitch and a little anger cloud floating over his head.
Anyway, it's funny, I put a copy in my cubicle at work. *temp, contractor position, hopefully hopefully they'll offer me a conversion soon.... *prays*
Thanks Faye, this is great! :)

Most of the time the cost of it is not worth the pay off. It depends on what you get the degree in, and who you get it from. yet the myth that a simple college degree always pays off is so prevalent that whole industries of diploma mills have popped up and make millions in profit a year.
