I also really enjoy making faux tiny trees for some reason? This miniature Japanese cherry blossom started life as the plastic stem part from a bunch of faux flowers, plus additional wire to form extra branches. I created and dyed my own foam flocking for the foliage, and built the bench from coffee stirrers, craft sticks, and basswood. I had to use tweezers, but the bento on the bench really is wrapped and tied properly (I looked up how). This was the first piece I tried adding a 2D character to, and I really felt like it came alive when I did. She just ties the whole scene together. This one sold at MFF. =)

The bento is what really makes this one pop for me. It just adds something to it. Was it left there for someone to find? Was it for someone specific? Do they know who it's from? Did somebody just step away for a moment? It's just fun and relaxing to think about things like that for some reason.
