Someone could think that whole story about the dream was a trick to devour Tetree. But this person would be wrong about Lanka, she's not a good liar. Snake just got emotional due to being embraced. For unknown reasons warm feelings snakes have to a mice can often turn into desire to eat them which is exactly what happened to the girl. Who could blame her for that?
