Sometimes it seems a miracle it lasted this long. This isn't the first time I took the ring off, but the other time was done in anger, this time in grim acceptance. I've survived through some severely rough patches with her. This time is different though, as she declared she wants to live on her own. And after thinking about it a good while, I agreed. Now begins the process of dissolving a 14 year old marriage. For the first time in my life I will be living on my own as well.

It was overall a good marriage, but the spark is gone now. We'll end it before the festering poison destroys the good memories.
