Bet she can hear a fly fart from across an entire frigate capable hangar bay if it was quiet enough. A busy hangar is probably deafening, I can't imagine what her ears would experience in a hangar under combat ops.

I did actually put some thought into the structure of the ears, but it's never been pressing enough of a topic for me to do any kind of diagram X3

As for hearing and protection of the same, given the sort of weapons that are employed in their contemporary warfare, hearing protection is an absolute must, but plenty of other issues actually require you to wear pressure suits with managed atmospheres, because biological bodies just weren't made to handle some (actually many, besides a very specific subset of)environmental conditions.

Love her eyes and ears. Incredibly expressive for the species. Enjoying how in-depth / elaborative she is about the technical side of things, especially when dealing with classified information and the possibility of it requiring "higher up" authorization.

The big ears do tend to help with emoting =^w^=

Question, concerning the unform.

Fur oil management. For us furless types they make 'em stupid tight, and we've got to shave some areas (i.e. no calisthenics or we would write off reproduction), so sweat can be evacuated via capillary action but fur wouldn't allow for such simplistic measures.
And the age-old, of course: Bodily waste removal functions during long duration ops... In the early days we had to stew in it but, again, fur... *wince*

This is addressed somewhat in the recent second installment, at least the waste management part, but it's not been a major topic so far. If people want to expand on the actual battlesuits though, this might well get some more focus put on it.
