Jonathan Clarke: The American Gunslinger . He is a Former Civil War Veteran (a former 1st Lieutenant in the Confederate Army, part of the 1st Florida Regiment), and former NCO in the Papal Zouaves during the Italian Wars of Unification. After which he settled out west in Arizona where he became friends with a Union Cavalry Officer who became a Sheriff. After. Some time Jonathan Clarke was referred by him to the Arizona Rangers.

He is now an Arizona Ranger and Knight of Charlemagne.

He protects the denizens of the Arizona Territory, hunts down long forgotten preternatural beings that haunt mankind, and fights servants of the pagan gods of old whom want to reclaim their powers.
