Furling her brows, the wolfcat looked over the floorplan multiple times, occasionally pausing to jot down a note or two of "worse case scenarios" that might occur and how they would handle them: most of said scenarios would result in deaths...a small price to pay considering.
It was almost midnight, 11:47 to be precise, so she had to finalize her plans to make sure she had ample time to get to her destination with the others.
If this plan worked, they would FINALLY take out one of the biggest yakuza in the area! If not...
She frowned and looked over the plans and notes one more time, taking a swig of milk to calm her nerves. She had written and marked over these blueprints so many times in the past month, some of the writing was illegible...not that it mattered; she was more concerned with the layout of the compound than what each room was.
By luck, one of her correspondents had connections with the yakuza and gotten her an elaborate floorplan of their hideout! Needless to say, such information DID NOT come cheap, but the price was worth it. Gold could always be replaced; innocent lives could not.
There were so many hidden passages, underground tunnels, and traps there- as she expected. Whomever built that hideout for them accounted for any and all possible scenarios. It was no wonder they had eluded the police and authorities for so long: they always had an escape. Not tonight.
She heard a light tap on the door, that gradually increased to a louder knock, then three light taps again.
That was the signal-
They're here.
Headquarters had sent over some of their best agents to assist Whisper in this mission to ensure a minimal failure rate, and make sure she stayed alive at all costs. While she was hesitate to accept help at first, Whisper's instinct and pride knew better considering the circumstances...
Gathering up her supplies and trusty blade, she glanced over the map once more.
She was as ready as she was going to be.
"There will be many deaths this evening. Let's hope it's them and not us."
(To be continued)
It isn't wise to go charging into battle without a plan, much less take down a dangerous mafia without some proper preparation. Which is why Whisper has been plotting, planning, and waiting for the day for YEARS-
And now she has the opportunity to take down some of her biggest foes- let's just hope she's ready for the challenge :)
I want to give a BIG thanks to the artist behind this piece: o.z.y.. He put so much time and effort into this piece, particularly the background and perspective, and it really shows! Thank you so much again!
Been super behind on posting art lately, but real life comes first unfortunately (the joys of being an adult).

Thank you! While I certainly cannot take credit for the awesome artwork, I'm glad you enjoyed the story! :)
I hate posting artwork without a proper description to accompany it, especially one like this. Feels like a crime not giving art a story to explain its meaning or backstory

It is something I tend not to miss, being one myself... or well, cross-dominant, I do write with left hand but a number of things are done with the other.
Ambidextrous means equal skill with both hands, which is a rather rare occurence, a lot of people who say they are that are actually cross-dominant, where the skill between hands is not equal.
