Hello again everyone and welcome to the final week of voting for the Build a (Poké) Monster Girl event!
We had another great week of voting this past week with 52 responses received. For that vote, I asked you to choose which type of monster girl you'd like to see Delia, the winning character from the first week, transformed into. Unlike last time, this week was really close and even I wasn't sure what would win as all throughout the week the results were constantly shifting. A few of the choices even tied multiple times and stayed that way for a while and I thought for sure we would have to have a tie breaking vote but that wasn't necessary as in the end there was in fact a clear winner.
With 32.7% of the vote, the winning type of monster girl is: harpy!
I have to admit I'm genuinely surprised by that result. I like it and I'm happy it won; I'm just surprised. I thought for sure mermaid would have easily taken this seeing how popular that archetype is, but it actually got third place with 23.1%. Second place went to taur with 26.9% which was ahead for a while and before the weekend seemed like it was going to win. Shout out to satyr and slug which tied for last with only 9.6%. Also, for a minute at the very beginning last week insect girl was winning and I had visions of making a Beedrill girl drawing. Sadly, that won't happen this time but I might add it to my list for later.
I really didn't think harpies were all that popular, but I am really happy it won. I like mermaids, don't get me wrong, but I've seen a lot of art of Poké girls as mermaids and I was secretly hoping something else would win so we could get a bit more of a unique drawing out of this whole thing. Well, I seem to have gotten my wish as a Delia harpy will definitely make for a pretty unique drawing. I've already started thinking about how the finished picture will look and I think I've settled on a pose that should be pretty interesting and quite spicy. If it turns out right, it should also be ripe with opportunity for some fun alternate versions.
Thank you to everyone who voted and now onto the last poll and the last week of voting. Now that the character and type of monster girl have been decided, you now need to choose which Pokémon Delia's harpy wings, legs, and tailfeathers will be inspired by.
I've assembled a list of 20 bird Pokémon and I want you to pick the one you think would work best as a harpy.
The 20 that I chose are ones that I personally think would work best for this kind of drawing. I purposefully left out many that would be difficult to adapt or that I otherwise felt wouldn't look very good. Also, I decided to not include a few that I've either already drawn or that I have plans to draw at some point in the future. If there's one that you really like that isn't included on the list, I'm sorry.
As always, please only one vote per person. Now, with all of that out of the way, here's the link to this week's poll: https://forms.gle/XSxWe7Z9xKV6crjH7
