I did. Unfortunately. This just solidifies that it wasn't just a bad moment from stress but an actual asshole.
Well, now this comic has two women that deserve better. At least Ryder has a good roommate/housemate in her brother.
Still, it is possible that whatever problems the guy is going through are bad. Don't know enough to make a FULL judgement call, but that kind of behavior is still pretty bad.
...and then we find out that his 'problem' is that a cute raccoon he met on a blind date didn't accept his dickish offer to sleep with him. (probably not, but who knows)

Ah I remember this type of jackass who was a roommate to one of my friends and acted like this toward her for just trying to be social. No matter what, they always acted put out at the tiniest bit of attempted social interaction. It's one thing to be anti-social; but when you put yourself in a roommate situation; you need to have some decorum or, go get a place WITHOUT other people.
I confess, one day I pulled them aside and basically told them "Keep treating my friend like garbage, and I'll put you IN the garbage." They didn't believe me and did it again and then spent twenty minutes trying to get out of a teeny-tiny trashcan I stuck them into headfirst.
Suddenly that attitude went out the window from that point. Ultimately didn't matter as my friend moved in with a better roommate, but petty as it was, don't regret that one bit.
