Interesting character. I'm not usually into flat/cel style like this, but it works well and looks tight. If you stuck to the same style with the background IMHO it would mesh better.

It _is_ lineless, I'm up late with no sleep in the last two days, pardon my blind eyes. Looking more closely there's MUCH more subtle fading on her than on the gearing in the background as she doesn't shade to true black anywhere and the background is all deep red to true black...Which is what threw me.

Faces are no longer important in this new and exciting method of character design! Just look at Gears of War!
