Okay, so this hat
you guys
oh god.
rooth told me the feathers would be evil, but little did I know that they were actually the SPAWN OF SATAN.
When I got them in the mail, I thought "Oh hey, these are pretty! Shouldn't be a problem."
OH BOY WAS I WRONG
They are very long and airy, and staticky, and they shed EVERYWHERE. OH THE SHEDDING. They also obstructed all of my vision during the sewing process, which is never good and that caused me to sew right through my finger! Luckily it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and there was no blood spilled. Such a scare though
Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with the end result. It looks pretty badass, and the camera simply cannot capture the coolness of this hat.

Wha.. WOW! You really got those feathers to fill out! I'm impressed, I'm going to be really curious to see how the heck you did that when the hat arrives. On my Rooth costume head, they dont' stand nearly so tall and full. And those fins!! Man, wearing this around AC should make me super easy to spot. ;) Can't wait to try it on!

Guess what I found on my stairs this morning?
A blue feather. A single blue feather strand. I haven't worn my Rooth tail since Halloween, and I sent those feathers to you a month or two ago. There's no explanation for how it got there. Maybe somehow your feathers have figured out how to shed across state lines!!
