There is a story I'm working on... sort of... well... I've been working on it since I was... what? 11 years old? so that's all of nearly half my life... heh... not quite as much as another one really, but this one is much more interesting... to me anyways.
Either way, if you were to ever understand what I'm talking about with this story, you must understand that I have all the traditional fantasy races (and I do mean all of them), along with so many extras that it could make your head spin... this is a small sampling of what are three... or four, depends on the mood I'm in, races of the story related by the "Red Mark of the Kablar"... um... Kablar is Notan for Fox, so naturally, the normal fox that you see running around here on Eden... erm... the planet we call Earth... is called a Kablar... em... I'll stop trying to explain that...
Anyways, from left to right:
The Koti--A knee tall "uncivilized" race that originates in the primitive world of Yinh. There they are considered fair game and because they are rather intelligent creatures, their pelts sell for a high price... so naturally, they are plagued with the "OMG! it's legal to kill us!" problem.
The Kensi--A refined race that usually comes in the gold to light orange. They have tendencies toward being complete smegheads and all around uptight jerks due to their concentration of population in the upper scale areas of their homeland, Kai, where economy is blessed and everyone eats well.
The Kitsune--A roguish race of illusionists and tricksters that originate from the world Eden hidden amongst the humans. Very few know that they are actually what became of the offspring of the mystical tribe of Kablar that made the mistake of mating with humans... and there is much shame in that, so most Kitsune encourage it to be kept secret.
The KabaneBuson (Red Claw)--A race of burden, they are the true masters of Pyromancy and good food... however, they have a very... controversial culture, as they were originally bred to be slaves and never really lost touch with that sort of honor system, and lack the normal sense of romance and currency. And their nomadic tribes live in the most unusual places that had otherwise been uninhabited for centuries.
Now if anyone reads this far, I apologize for putting you through that...
