This was our Great Pyranese, Collie cross. She was a 100lb lap doggie. A total sweet heart, someone had thrown her out of a moving vehicle, and the fall broke her hip. Lucky for her she was dumped very near our house, and we took her in. We couldn't afford to get her leg fixed, but it rarely bothered her.
She was absolutely my dad's dog. She was very young when we got her, and not house trained. We tried a couple of things, that didn't really work. Then my dad caught her and yelled at her a bit, she never went in the house again. Except for when she had diarrhea really bad one time, and she felt so bad she ran out of the house when we got back, and wouldn't come back in for several hours.
Unfortunately she was terribly shy, and would growl and snap at people she didn't know. So when my dad moved he had to put her down, cause he couldn't find anybody who could take her in. He didn't want to take her to the pound, cause no one would adopt her and they'd kill her anyway. So he took her to the vet, so that he could at least be there when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
In this picture, I guess she was afraid that the camera would eat her soul, or something. She hadn't done anything wrong, and wasn't in trouble.
