i'm not a fan of mutilating animals for aesthetic reasons.
That being said, I thought how would this work out for this character in a fictional setting.
Since i suppose Hira was a soldier before she became a commander i thought of tying the ear cropping with that...for what reason? i thought abt the reasoning behind this being to make them all look the same (like fitting a standard), to not have their ears in their face while they are fighting, as a form of exercising dominance over them by inflicting something painful on them so they never try to step out of line (hence why here the ears aren't cut when they are puppies which now that i think abt doesn't really make sense cause the collagen and elastic fibers have already taken the shape of the floppy ear but eeeh)...

Update: i read that you can actually put ear implants into older dogs ears to make them stick up so there you have it.
