I've been struggling a lot with a friend's passing these past few days.
Emily. I miss you. You were the first person I ever felt safe opening up about mental health issues with. You were the one who dispelled the lies my ex told to convince me I was responsible for my cat's death. You were one of the first people I was able to open up to about my gender identity issues before it was forced out publicly. You were kind, and honest, and understanding.
It's still.. not real. I still don't believe it entirely. I'm doing my best.
