It was a bright sunny day in New York City. While the streets bustled with activity, Spider Man's been on the trail of Lizard beneath the public's feet in the sewers. He's been down there a while now. After finding many indicators of the villains presence, he's having trouble finding the scaly beast. With sun beams shining down through manhole covers, the hero enters a large pipe chamber. Humid, dimly lit, and concrete - Spider Man's having a difficult time hearing over the sounds of rushing water.

Suddenly, his spidey senses begin tingling. Emerging from the shadows above, Lizard drops down – whipping his long tail at him. Back-flipping away stylishly, the hero narrowly avoids the powerful midair sneak attack. At first, Spider Man wanted to tell his former teacher to stop, but he quickly realized that words won't work on this monster. In this form, Dr. Connors can't be convinced of anything.

Only wearing an open white lab coat and purple pants, his clothes are the last indicator of humanity on him. Charging after the hero, the foe roars as he swipes down at him. Swiftly avoiding each attack, Spider Man gets backed into a wall. Thinking he's got his prey cornered, Lizard widens his jaw and lunges forward, attempting to land a devastating bite. Dunking beneath the attack, the hero dolphin dives beneath his spread scaly legs.

Upon missing, the foe gets his fangs lodged into a steam pipe. While Spider Man carefully avoids Lizard's thrashing tail, his adversaries lab coat and pants begin tightening up. Moaning with dilated pupils, the villains body's rapidly filling up with steam, quickly shaping him into a giant balloon. With gently creaking scales, his big feet rise off the concrete ground as he claws at the pipe. Sadly, the pipes are too awkwardly positioned for him to strike.

Wanting to ensure that Lizard stays put, the hero shoots webs all over his big mouth – keeping him stuck firmly against the pipe. As his center-mass expands to the shape of a yoga ball, his scaly belly button pops out – which in turn, showcases just how full the villain already is. More and more, Lizard's coat and pants are still ripping apart, all while his long tail thrashes at Spider Man. Flailing his claws and feet around desperately, the foe's no longer able to slash at anything now.

Like four stiff pool noodles, his arms and legs straighten out – no longer flexible enough to do any damage. Even his whipping tail's less dangerous now. Shaped like a big fat wrecking ball, the hero decides that he's ballooned large enough to be manageable. “Alright tubby, that's enough steam for you. It's time to wrap this circus show up...” Laughs Spider Man, approaching a large rusty valve.

With the pressure gauges pointer stuck on red, the hero flexes his biceps. In his attempt to shift and shut off the steam flow, the hero accidentally snaps the valve right off. “Uh oh...” Whispers Spider Man, nervously turning around. Inflated to elephant-sized proportions, Lizard's scream-moaning as loud as he can. Albeit, in a muffled tone. The pressure in his body is so overwhelming, that even his yellow eyes are bulging out from their sockets.

Since his body's far too big and round to navigate around, the hero has no choice but to cling to the ceiling, hiding behind a few pipes – taking cover from (what he believes to be) an inevitable explosion. With the foes head half-sunken into his grotesque neck cave, his massive spherical body presses up against the blowing pipe – causing it to dent, bend, and luckily, snap. Although a piece of pipe is still webbed to his big mouth, the steam's now blowing back out the way it came in.

Like a scene from a wacky slapstick cartoon, the planet-like creature spirals and bounces all around the spacious pipe chamber. Fidgeting his claws around as he regains flexibility, the giant balloon deflates enough to fit back down into the waterway. Rocketing off into the darkness with sputtering lips, Lizard's whines and roars echo off into the distance. As his body returns to normal, the embarrassed monster splashes back into the water – using it to vanish and recover. “Dang, not fighting him down there... I really blew it. I'd better get to lunch, I don't want to keep MJ waiting.” Sighs Spider Man, exiting the sewers through the same way he came in... THE END
