Done as a birthday gift for Josh. Happy Birthday, bro!
I was sitting at work, wondering what I should draw as a present, and the order arrived with the new set of Yu-Gi-Oh cards (I work at a game store). Among the new cards released were the Crystal Beast creatures, so I figured, as I know Josh likes anime, I'd draw him as one of the series, and make him his own card! The diamond in the background was a little difficult, with all the reflections and scintillating patterns in it, but it's turned out okay under the scan, so it's all good.

Heh, I know what you mean; they're addictive, once you get going. :P I've been lucky and managed to get my paws on a Rare Value and one Sapphire Pegasus (via trading), but I could still use another. They're looking to be quite a popular deck archetype in my area.
I almost figured I'd messed up with the card text - the second line should read "While this *Monster* card remains face-up..." - but I read earlier today there's been a blanket ruling that no effects any of them have as monsters work while they're Continuous Spells, so I guess it's alright. :P
A wolf card would be cool... what crystal to use, though? Onyx? Obsidian?

I started work on a wolf card. Don't know if I'll ever be able to finish it, since I'm horrible at drawing furries. DX I was thinking something like Aquamarine or onyx. I wish Sapphire wasn't taken. XD Blue is my favorite color.
