I'm not talented in other areas. Like an mm..highly tailored character in RPG. So I have many reasons to envy others. :)

i think id be alright with stories and characters but id love to be able to draw my concepts of a starry and beautiful sky or an overgrown apocalyptic quasi-wasteland. things that appear to me in dreams and i write down but cant draw, and i hope to commission one day x3

And I wish I could construct worlds and whole stories. And make my characters more alive. And be able to see dreams, not a dull mess.
Such an irony.

i couldnt live without mine, like looking upon a decrepid nucleur power plant thats overgrown and connected to a building with roots dangling from its windows all connected to single massive tree growing out of the cooling tower, crows circling the trees trunk, i could go on for a couple of paragraphs explaining the detail of the ones i remember, i dont want my dreams to be lucid because then they wouldn't be as original and beautiful. i have pages written of concepts for stories i could create from my dreams, its something im passionate about but i dont yet have the skill to do them, and id want to do them good, so im teaching myself literary skills, and to a lesser but just as wanted extent drawing.

block of text but i love talking about art and my dreams x3, if you write down ones you ever remember, even tiny details you will remember them better each time and i cant imagine what an artist like yourself would dream x3

Interestingly enough, the pictures you put forth, /tell/ quite a story - they're vibrant enough to give the viewer a large amount of visual material to let their imagination work with. So in a way you DO construct whole worlds and stories, but you do it purely in a visual form. Already my mind is working overtime with what I see here, constructing a back-story and narrative.

Normally I wouldn't be able to wait for a finished product, but every now and then a piece comes along that even as a sketch blows most other works out of the water. This is definitely one of those...

Soft shadows isn't a pencil already, it's digital airbrush. Sorry. :)

This made me think of Assassin's Creed, but after your description, I thought more on Mirror's Edge (which I'm replaying currently). And though it's been years since I lived in a big city, I know the feeling of being trapped in a maze. You convey your description well.

Man.... I've never seen someone use lighting so well in just a pencil sketch....

It's not a pure pencil, some shadows added by photoshop airbrush.

Stunning lightning.

I first saw the dark void between the buildings, than the emerging cheetah, then I've realized that he's looking at something: the animals in the wild, outside the city walls... then I saw then desert-like landscape... and then I was literally struck by the intense sunlight, giving light to the plains and rooftops.

It's amazing how a still picture can still guide ones eyes and tell a story.
