Becca is one of my Oldest OCs. She a really amazing little sweety, when she chooses to be.
Becca used to be just a causal cute girl like anyone else, she worked really hard with her boyhood crush Los to develop a life that they could all live happily in. Sadly, I had a falling out with the friend that was co-writing with me. (Don't worry we made up and are besties again. But we didn't see each other for a handful of years so there was a drought of time between our writing.)
With the way my characters work, if they aren't in a stable world and can't migrate to a new world, they fall into this sorta sea of consciousness Between worlds called Meta. And live there. Meta is Dangerous and rather keen to consume the 'forgotten'. It's also pitch black. And well, this is where Becca went, because her world vanished into the dark sea of Meta given that it wasn't my world and thus I couldn't keep it. I was too young at the time to figure out how to move her to a new world which is what lead to her falling into Meta But she found a large bright fall of light to curl herself around and basically went dormant until their was a new sign of escape.
She lived there in the dark bundled around a ball of light keeping her going, keeping her safe. Another thing about Meta is that the characters that wind up there tend to take on qualities of it. They tend to develop a passive ability to navigate it and also becomes those characters that learn to break the 4th wall. See usually my characters sorta stay in one world and that's Their world. They can portal hop to other worlds but aren't aware specifically of Meta.
However, characters like Becca who Go to Meta are now always Aware of Meta as a place and because of this they can sort of zip and unzip reality of different worlds, walking where they choose when they get strong enough to Find a world to go to. Sometimes they develop other powers as well.
Becca's title is The Oracle of Meta. Unlike Inky who's my very first characters and sorta a god of Meta or In Meta. Becca is very well adapted to it and sorta cruises around popping in and out of worlds listening to people and sometimes giving advice. She doesn't need to be IN meta to do this either. IN fact she's was woken from her dormant state by her now partner Rin, another old character of mine and the who have home in a location similar to the town in Kiki's delivery service.
But that doesn't stop Becca from being about to bend and ear and listen into the various writings I do and give her two sense. It also means she's very adept at shape shifting if she needs to be Something Else to fit that world. IF she feels like it.
