Everything about this series of images is appealing to me.
Something about self-imposed formality and uniforms... Order. Really quite nice.
Might help that it's a pretty close-by thought to imagine myself in such a uniform given the loose similarities of long lovely ears and tail between our examples shown and who I am.

A wonderful series about the details and specifics of rank and uniform. Being ex-military myself, I always enjoy seeing fantasy setting stuff and how it might play out in some similarities and differences thereof. I love the idea of the cape-like piece and how unique the ranks have been verses the 'standard' bar and chevron. Wonderful work, and Neia deserves a promotion.
An interesting set of questions.
Interpersonal relationships are about as frequent in the guard as they are in any other armed force with mixed sex personell. So long as the relationship can be expected not to interfer with operations, nobody really pays a lot of attention to it. Having said that, casual relationships, or even just casual sex, is a lot more common than people would probably expect, owing in large parts to the isolated nature of many parts of the service.
You can certainly marry a guardian, but this then does not change your personal status in any way. You'll just have to be prepared for your spouse to be away for long periods of time.

God she is so gorgeous, imagine if she was yours and how you don’t get to hold her every night… https://youtu.be/PnX6CDLRyjU?si=AL3SE_rBB_r1RcbM
lol come on!! the black heel clicking boots, just make their uniforms brown… https://youtu.be/C6BrnQ6LE4g?si=2X0VmCE2XzXkq3CI
Both of those are valid points, though the capelet isn't attached firmly enough to get handled by.
If you've ever worn one of those magnetic name tags, that's about how well they're attached. It'll withstand arm movement and such, but if you give it a good yank, it just comes right off.

Wouldn't confuse the Earth U.S. Marines, if they still exist and haven't changed, as the rank insignia is only on the neck in camouflage uniforms! But it's on the upper arm in any other "work" or dress uniform.
Those pants have so much storage space! Is using them frowned upon because it would bulge them out and look unsightly? If uniformity and discipline is very important to the Guard, I could see that happening!

That's fair. As I pointed out on another comment, the whole "easily recognizable rank" bit was dropped for a reason after all. You just correct yourself when you can actually tell the rank, I'm guessing.
Concerning the pants; when in parade dress, or amongst the civilian population, yes. When performing duties where this uniform is considered appropriate, you can use the pockets freely, though you'll definitaly get the odd eye or two if you have stuff sticking out of them.
