This is Khione, the 100% pure albino sergal. Her eyes are blue, not red, because she is a real albino. She's named after the Greek goddess(or more appropriately, the nymph) of snow. She's the main character in my story(which I have YET to even start writing), and she lives on the planet Aridas, where both humans and sergals are at war with one another for thousands of years. The sergals are the more dominant species of the planet, not because their population size is greater than the human population(sergal population about 115 million, human population about 28 million), but also because they are more sophisticated, more technologically advanced, and have a more refined social structure than the human species. The sergal species on Aridas are also more technologically advanced in military warfare, and medical technology. Basically, the sergals of Aridas are superior to humans in every aspect. Humans are Aridas are equivalent to humans on Earth during WWII.
Now, more about Khione. She is about 15 years old, and she is feral(but tame). She was taken from her mother at birth by a human soldier during a human assault on a major sergal industrial city. The soldier was severely wounded in that assault, loosing the ability to hold a weapon steady and run for long distances with heavy equipment. He was forced to retire from the military at the age of 29. After that, he concerned himself with his family...and the new addition. He raises Khione like anyone would raise a puppy. His community thinks him to be crazy raising a sergal. (Humans see sergals as savage beasts that crave for war and blood, and believe they are nothing but killing machines. But sergals of Aridas are very intelligent, and there are many that are not violent, Khione being one of them. Some sergals actually protest against the war between the humans and sergals.)
A couple years after, when Khione was about 3 years old, the first child(a girl) of the family was born. Khione, being the docile sergal she was, grew very close to the new arrival. As the years go by, the man continues to train Khione to be a dog. By the time Khione was 8, a second baby was born into the family, this time a boy. The family treats Khione like another member of the family, a beloved family pet. Khione grows very close to the children, and the children don't see her as a sergal, but as their loyal and best friend(not slave, no, none of that).
Fastforward to the present day, Khione is now 15 years old, and a very lovable friend, and she is happy living with her adoptive family. If she WERE to stand upright on her legs, she would be about 6'11", making her a big sergal, but walking like she's always walked her entire life, she would be about as tall as a great dane here on Earth. The man who raised her over those 15 years believes that he's done the impossible, tamed a "savage beast," and successfully made her into...well, a pet. Yes, she walks like a dog, and behaves like a dog. But there's one thing that her owner has forgotten...she is of an intelligent species. She is of a race that has evolved into a thinking species over millions of years(by the way, sergals first appeared in the evolutionary record on Aridas(the planet is about 6.07 billion years old, and the rate of the evolution of life was varied greatly over those billions of years) about 15 million years before humans did; humans appeared in the last 2 million years). So, naturally she doesn't think like a dog(although, she likes to romp around like a dog, with other dogs, and play with the kids). She always knew, by the time she was old enough to think for herself, that she was different from the other pets that she's befriended over the years. She knew she was something else. Unknown to her owner, she sneaks onto the internet when he is away at work and the children are in school, and learns to read. She may be happy living with her owner's, but she has always wanted to physically meet one of her own kind. She doesn't want to actually run away from the only family and home that she's ever known, but the thought of meeting is very strong.
So, basically the general story behind Khione is that she's been raised to be a family pet for a human family. She is of a very caring nature, and very calm, but can be very energetic when it comes to playing with the kids or with her dog friends. She loves her family and is happy living with them, and doesn't know if there was anything else in the world that would make her more happier.
I will post up a more detailed description of Khione's life a little later in a journal. Only about Khione, don't worry I won't get side-tracked with other details.
