This is the initial sketch of my original species, the Arhulian. The sketch was done by a personal friend of mine. I'm still working with on the design, and things will be revised in the future, but overall, I'm very grateful for my friend helping me bring my complex vision to life with this initial concept.

Arhulians are a large species of "badger/mustelid-centipedes". They combine the anatomical layout of a centipede, but are mammalian in biology - they have a skeleton, flesh, and skin. They comparable to a human in intellect. Given their anatomy, they aren't much for clothes. Fortunately for those of a more modest persuasion, their reproductive organs are internal, very much like a cetacean. They have extraordinary senses, such as the means to detect living creatures in a large radius around them, and it even works through solid materials! They have limited psionic capabilities, though to what degree they have them I'm still determining.

Other details not shown in the sketch is that Arhulians have numerous limbs nested in between their rib cage that can extend out from their chest. These limbs include proboscides, fine manipulation arms, and tendrils for drinking and nursing. In addition, they can swallow large prey (about human sized give or take) whole with the assistance of a pharyngeal jaw. Though much faster and more agile than their bulky appearance would suggest, true exertion is often reserves for combat due to how energy intensive it is. Instead they rely on their heightened senses to ambush prey for sustenance.

Though I have the biology nailed down, I'm still working on the details of their culture and civilization. Stay tuned!
