Tired of her constant failings to take over Equestria, Chrysalis hatches a new plan for domination. This one is sure to work! Right? Reports had been coming in all over the hove that ponies have been growing to gigantic proportions. And it was all caused by a wayward growth spell emanating from a book? After stealing the book for herself, she instructed her drones to siphon the size magic from the book and transfer it to a growth ray so it can be used on herself. Then she'll be able to literally walk all over the competition once she's huge!
But what she could never account for was the love she used as a power source for the ray would be transferred into her as her size increases. So once she's towering high above the mountains, her normal persona was replaced with a much more bubbly and happy one, nearly indistinguishable from the princesses. So don't worry, she means no harm now!
...Just gotta watch out for those bone crushing hugs she'll give you.
