Paw Fashion 15: black socks
In the interest of making things comfortable and easier to clean, one might want a pair of socks to go underneath all the boot designs I've done. These are made of some fairly thin and stretchy material, and have a single large opening for the toes that will accommodate webbypaws because we don't want to discriminate against water dragons and the like after all. They'd make one's paws a little more comfy inside a pair of boots, provide a little extra warmth, or just be cute for lounging around in.

Mostly because I just liked how it looked, though I suppose letting the heel breathe a little might be nice. I think somebody in a comment on one of my previous designs might have suggested it too, so I went with it. Socks like this certainly good exist with the heel closed up too! Though DigitalPotato makes a good point, this way they'd work for avians or anyone else who happened to have a heel claw or something. ^^
Ooo, very nice and practical. ^_^ Naturally, I can't help but appreciate that they help highlight the nicest feature - toes. ^^; For an added realism note - the opening around the toes might have a thin silicon line to help hold it in place. I have a set of Lycra arm warmers for when I'm biking, and they have that on the upper arms to keep them from rolling up or sliding around - could see it working much the same for these socks. :)
I like that too about pretty much all the sock or boot designs that leave the toes free really. :) In addition to the nice look of wrapping one's paws up in leather or some other nice material, covering most of the paw but leaving the toes free feels like it makes the toes stand out more than they otherwise would if the paw were totally bare.
That's a really neat idea about the silicon line, I've never used that sort of thing so it isn't an idea I've encountered. :) Seems like it would work really well here. I did put a little bit of a cuff around the top of the sock like most normal socks have to give it a little structure there, but with the open design of these your idea would probably make all kinds of good sense.
