Do you know what a wangliang is? According to descriptions I found around the web, I'd say it's more or less the Chinese equivalent to a Japanese oni or a Korean dokkaebi, and if you don't know which any of those are, they're demon humanoids often depicted hairy and with unnatural skin color, like blue, red or gray. Well, ever since I've been designing a new batch of OCs I've been exploring fantasy and folkloric races in potential as well as looking for a certain share of Chinese ones since my new cast would be based in Brazil (I know, sounds weird at first, but Brazil did see a growing number of Chinese immigrants in the past decade), I couldn't resist the idea of making a big strong fighting girl out of this mythological entity.

Anyway, this is Mei Xiaobao, a "wandering warrior" of my cast - one of those OCs mainly inspired by fighting game characters, and as such, her goal in life is also becoming the best fighter in the world to fulfill her destiny towadrs her clan (a common wangliang thing in my OCs' lore). Despite her appearance, she's not as mean as she may look, but not much of a social butterfly either. In fact, Mei can be defined as a chill, reserved, neutral person, someone who most of the time minds her own business and don't care much about anything else outside whatever her focus may be, but even so she attracts a lot of friends, speciallt female ones who see her as a powerful independent no-nonsense woman.
