So, yesterday, I posted Korinna graduation from her Master's Degree. Now, today, she is relaxing on a beach wearing her new swimsuit. Actually, the swimsuit Korinna is wearing is one I actually own, but I don't think too many people want to see a picture of me in a swimsuit. I'll let my FID be my model instead.
I am overall pretty happy with this, though the angles are all wonky (She is sitting kind of oddly, maybe I should start trying to employ that whole 1-point/2-point perspective stuff that I learned in HS?) Also, I was going to draw her by a pool since that is more likely since she lives in the inland NW of the US, but my CG pool wasn't looking too hot, so I put her on a beach, even though Korinna is not a fan of getting sand in her fur. Takes DAYS to get out.

Anyway, about the picture finally (yeah, I'm in a weird mood right now so I'm just babbling. Sorry.)
I really like it! I love the way that you have her tail poking out of the hole in the beach chair, and her toes are cute!
I think the only things that you might want to work on is making the arms a little bigger, they look a bit too skinny now. If you don't want my advice you're more than welcome to tell me to shut up though.
You know what? I had an odd dream too that I wanted to tell you about and I guess that here is as good as any other place. (plus Rin's tattoo being visable reminded me) I had a dream that when you came down here for that wedding, you and I went and got tattoos together. You got the rose like this and I FINALLY got the WuFu that I want on the back of my neck.
Yeah, random, but it was fun.

Oh man, if I had the money, I would SO get a tattoo with you! But, I'm not sure how much coloured rose tattoos cost. Maybe someone would like to do a little investigating pour moi? ;)
Yeah, I'm still working on Korinna's body type. It is SO hard to draw plus-size females when everyone (including me) is so used to seeing/drawing size 2-6 females. But, at least her face/hair is consistent. Though, I had to do some major touching up on her face before I coloured it since she looked like a horse. I don't draw the skin patch for her nose so she is proned to me drawing her with a horsey face (it has has to do with the pic I had of a red squirrel. I couldn't see the skin patch do I just didn't draw Korinna with one). And please! Keep giving me constructive criticism/advice! I really want to improve my artwork and actually show that I haven't been drawing for 20 years for nothing. :P
Well, pretty much all you could see was my shoulders anyway. Maybe just a little hip/ass. I'll save the swimsuit and lingerie modelling for my actual career. ;) And nude modelling for the bedroom. XD

I'm guessing that your's would be a bit cheaper than mine since yours would be a bit simpler (if you do get the rose anyway) but I'm not sure. I'll get to looking though okay?

Well, if I don't have that much money, I could always just get the outline and get it coloured later. I've heard colour is expensive, especially red since it is also the hardest to keep red. Anyway... yeah.
I dunno why us meaty chicks are so hard to draw. And actually, I do not even know what size Svearose is suppose to be, but I think she's like a 2 or 4. Probably 5'8". She's about my most stereotypically sized female char. Since Korinna is supposed to be a 22/24, Mina is a 6, but she has broad shoulders and like, no hips, and Tam is supposed to be an 8 and a rectangle (so, like, no waist). Me and my odd-shaped characters.
But, I think I know why I keep drawing Rin's arms too small. Supposedly, we draw based off of what we see or want to see in ourselves, and I just never see my arms as being that big, so I always draw stick-arms.. I guess. I will work on that, especially since I will probably be drawing Korinna again... but in a bathtub since she's winning by a landslide 1 vote. *rolls eyes*
Well, see, the reason why I want people to critique my art no matter what their skill level may be is because it is always good to get a fresh set of eyes on something. By having an outside person see what I am doing, they are not as tied to the artwork as I am, therefore can provide me with comments that will help me improve. Or see things that I haven't noticed before (i.e. the goat's missing ears). I am learning that I can accept contructive criticism, just so long as people aren't like, "This is shit!" XD But, I also like comments about what I am doing well, too. :) But who doesn't?

That's true. With your first tattoo it's probably a good idea to just get the outline first anyway. The red is so hard because it's hard to see through the blood so they can get the ink even... you wanted to hear that didn't you? XD
It's good to have differently sized characters! Get this stupid idea about there being an "ideal" size out of peoples heads!

Hey, it's no real biggy. I just think it's funny that the only person who consistently answers my polls is actually ReDa. I would figure it would have been you since you are supportive like that, but.... yeah.... whatever. I try not to be pushy/bitchy like that.
Yeah, speaking about being pushy/bitchy, I wish that more people would take time to comment on a piece or two of mine. I know they're not all winners, but I would like to get some feedback. I keep wanting to make a note of that in my journal, but I just feel like I'd be a bitch by doing that. *uses favourtie phrase of the night: I am more conflicted than a furry at a petting zoo*
