I remember really liking the Camel book when I was young 89 years ago. We might still have all of these cuz I think Mom did do the subscription, but 48 years ago, I got my own copy. ( I are good at maths ).
I remember though, that on some kids show, maybe Captain Kangaroo, that they read “ Fixed By Camel “ and then a song was sang summarizing the story. They sang something about Camel blowing a bubble but, in the book, it’s a balloon. On the cover, Camel’s mouth sorta looks like she’s forming a bubble, but I think it’s either her tongue or her mouth is slightly parted. Either way, young me glommed onto that. 🤓

I have the Zebra book too. Looking at it now, I think Zebra was gay. 🙂
